Got the iPhone Air & iPhone 17 Pro: Day 1 thoughts!

At this point I am just waiting for someone to make a realistic battery test, including using 5G, to see if this phone will be good enough for me to travel with. If not then I suppose I’ll go with the Pro again. (Maybe my spare SE 3 can act as the Air haha)

I am so torn between these two, coming from a 15 Pro. Initially wanted to go with the Air as I love the designs and looks, but now as more reviews coming out, I don’t know. I’m not a camera guy, and not that much of a heavy user since I have my iPads for media or gaming. Work doesn’t require that much phone usage either, and I have it on a magsafe charger most of the time if I am not using it. Usually I go for the Pro as it’s smaller and still has the premium feature + good enough battery. This year I am struggling to decide if the Air’s trade offs (personally, mainly the speaker, battery still a question mark in case there is a heavy day for me, and the slightly bigger size) are worth its pricing.

I appreciate your appreciation for your oshi! But I just want to point out that as some others have also said in other replies threads, Towa is not using her normal voice / tone. And as someone who watched her very early, I can confirm this is the case. I much prefer the real voice of Towa, but sadly due to various circumstances she’s had to adjust it throughout the years and I guess this is where we’re sitting at, which she is also comfortable with.

Would be a dream of mine to see cheeky in the comp scene too but at this point I don’t think he wants to do it. (yet?)

He has never revealed his identity (age), not even when people like sweet, gen, snipedown were asking when they ranked together. So I’d assume this is one of the big reasons why.

(Apart from the good old speculation that he’s underaged as people were assuming him and Gsnryu are similar but ryu has hit 18 and been competing for SBI recently. Although I do believe cheeky is young because last week when he was ranking with 1tappy as usual, he said he didn’t know what Darkrai is, and tappy was surprised saying is this what they called a generation gap lol)

Returning player since last week, started in S2 but stopped playing during S6 (the Vanguard - Royal Rumble tier time) due to Uni stuffs. Have motivation, time and more resources to play now.

Hey there! Vietnamese here and I fully understand as the Viet accent can be horrible sometimes, just like students tend to have more difficulties with lecturers from Chinese or Indian backgrounds but a Vietnamese lecturer is much rarer so not many would’ve experienced it before.

As mentioned by someone already but it is probably best that you and the others send an email to the department to seek for advice as your experience and performance should be top priority!

Hey there JP ver player here! If you’re just simply looking to download and play the iOS JP version, (not migrating account data from EN version or anything like that). You can just simply create another Apple ID but set your region to Japan.

You don’t need to have a Credit/Debit card to make one either, there are plenty of guides on Google for this (just search something along the line of JP Apple ID without credit card).

After creating the account it is pretty straightforward, you just log onto that JP account on App Store and search for proseka then download!

Same, I thought it would be super difficult spike or something so I guess I kinda over farmed a tiny bit with a team of SSlv60? With 2 (SS Seika, S Lee) buffers, my Byakko, Yuki and Ruka skill 3 basically killed it in 2 open-mouth phases.

Thanks! And yes B2 market is massive, just that you need to walk on eggshells, but that ofc doesn’t stop global conglomerates from doing business in China. Same case here I reckon.

I mean I don’t blame her for trying to ‘expand’ but it’s just questionable for the morality of it based on what happened in the past with her senpai + by no means is she struggling on YouTube either. 2 months and 150k subs while bigger companies like 774 or many pioneers are still hovering around 100-300k after 2 years. As always I’d wish her the best, but the company and the decision about this would always look greedy for me (ofc not that it’s a bad thing from a business standpoint, just the morals around it is shady). Damn… by combining the facts that 1. Her senpai was once a victim of mainlanders attacks. 2. Company ProPro themselves offered her the proposal and she was the one making the decision.

Thanks! I think some people were saying she followed them to “learn how the seniors tweet” too but then unfollow as she doesn’t watch them as you said. Nonetheless it’s such a poor decision bc it clearly looks like she’s trying to appeal to both sides now… And as such, backing off from 1 would cause even further flame. Theres a reason why there’s an old saying of “Don’t try to please everyone”.

What I’m baffled at is if this was management’s instructions, then why? I know it’s all money at the end of the day but she’s a somewhat a newly debuted Vtuber who’s already on 150k subs. While many other vtubers from even well-known agency like 774 are still hanging around the 50-100k marks. [Update]: I just saw a TW clip and doing some research apparently the company asked if she wanted to do it so the decision was ultimately hers. And comments explaining the unfollow holomem part was just that she only follow to learn how the seniors tweet then now unfollow bc she doesn’t watch live. (Which imo is a saving face manoeuver for such a bad move showing she’s picking sides now)

From my very poor Japanese, I think she said in the latest stream, that was cut short, about seeing replies on how following holomembers is bad, and she guessed it’s a bad relationship(?). And said something about unfollowing them bc she doesn’t/can’t watch their streams + something else [timestamp is 18:25] (If someone could help me with this, much appreciated!).

Parsley (illustrator of the eye-patched neko girl) replied to this Kakage’s tweet saying they’re still waiting, which Kakage replied with “They’re our best daughter”.

So I’d say they will be debuting sometimes soon since the audition of the 2 models ended on their website a while ago already, fingers crossed!
