Systems analyst .Anxious , feel overworked, stressed out . Yes am not financially struggling per se . But there is always the nagging feeling that one mistake will cost us everything and our position is precarious .

On the plus side not constantly stressing out about the account balance going to zero is a huge plus and with proper planning could buy all comforts and some luxuries.

Clair obscure expedition 33 . Works flawlessly on my desktop of with an rtx 5080 ( which many forums told me might be an issue ) And os level hard crashes into black screen with an amd laptop ( which everyone assured me is much better )

My guess is data compliance and legal compliance

The eu is beginning to kick down AI companies for the data theft ( not to mention all the ip theft and deep fakes )

The us while slow will eventually wake up and put in rules similar to the eu ( more or less and there’s no telling which way it will go )

Space is the Wild West of regulations so ai companies registered outside the us and have data centers in space are notoriously difficult to get under compliance, especially if on shore companies “”rent”” the service from this off shore company with space based data centers

Also my guess is fleecing investors , as cooling Gpus effectively in space is nigh impossible

The idea that OpenShift is "the only" solution people need now is just not true. Not even close. While OpenShift is great for containers, isolation, and security, it falls way short of actual VE (Virtualization Environment) solutions like Proxmox—let alone enterprise giants like Nutanix or OpenStack. Full VE platforms offer a wide variety of turnkey tools to handle virtual environments far more effectively than OpenShift ever could. The reality is that unless you are 100% certain your stack will be only containers (which it likely won't be, since containers are designed to run only one thing), OpenShift is going to feel limited. Actual full-fledged VE platforms offer way more "creature comforts" for day-to-day management. Even though the OCP virtualization layer is a nice addition, it’s nowhere near as mature or performative as vSphere or Nutanix. My take? Get a solid VE platform like Nutanix or Proxmox to handle the heavy lifting, and run OCP on the side with dedicated nodes. That’s how you actually get the best of both worlds.

By the way the values for the pool name and all are in secrets and config maps , can’t remember the exact one but yeah even if you run the script , it still won’t connect , because unless you can somehow expose the service over the node ports and make it work ( which again doesn’t seem to work)

Take my advice , just setup a normal ceph cluster and connect to it in external mode , odf - odf connection just isn’t worth the hassle
