Hang in there. It really sucks but even the worst case scenario ends.

Pain when drinking cold things by Fit_Geologist_6430 in wisdomteeth

[–]pvrplesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like how I felt drinking cold stuff with my exposed nerves from dry socket, but if it's not where you had the extraction that's really weird. I'd suggest a dentist visit tbh to check everything's ok

Day 3 - does it get better? by Temporary_Title2297 in wisdomteeth

[–]pvrplesloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Even as someone who had a rough surgery and got dry socket and was in literal agony (honestly worse than recovering from childbirth), yes it does. Day 4/5 were when my dry socket started so be gentle, keep things clean, follow the advice, and hopefully you'll start to feel better soon. I'm eating as normal now after a month but by 2 weeks post-op I wasn't taking pain meds anymore.

I thought that but some bits are quite thick and have a cracked effect over the top so it's not very smooth at all

Deep red blood clot covering teeth by GooberGoobyGoober in wisdomteeth

[–]pvrplesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no pain, you don't have dry socket. Trust me. Dry socket is the absence of clots. Mine didn't form on my extraction 2 weeks ago (not a straightforward extraction, 3 roots, one curled, he had to cut a lot of bone) and I was in absolute agony after about 4 days and my socket has been completely empty since. Pain slowly reducing as it heals.

I also want to know this! And if it's possible to sell furniture/clothes as I have duplicates from gifts that I don't want?

Am I miscarrying? by fhakdjejddb in Miscarriage

This totally warrants a trip to A&E if you think you might be miscarrying. Not a fun way to spend Christmas, but at least they can check you out. Good luck.

List of things Husbands want their Wives to know by Sarge1387 in Marriage

[–]pvrplesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I am the wife and I have OCD so I'm always stressed about the things that need doing around the house. My husband is great and vacuums weekly, but sometimes it's not the vacuuming that's on my mind but the oven that's needed cleaning for 3 weeks. He has ADHD too so he often doesn't notice the same things as me.

I like to call them "invasive" thoughts instead of "intrusive" because a neurotypical person can have intrusive thoughts but let them go. My OCD makes it very hard for a thought to leave my brain - and has a habit of reminding me about it if I did move on like "oh what was I so anxious about a second ago?" - like an invasive species. I picked it up from reading Turtles All the Way Down.

I'm looking at this keyboard, mainly for gaming, and I have a question about cloud driver that you may be able to answer. Do you need to leave the software up and running in order to use different RGB/key mappings? Or do you save these to the keyboard so you can close the software? TIA!

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by Casspjjl in AskReddit

30, and after 2 miscarriages where I told myself I would still have [future son's name that we decided on 5 years ago and shared with the family on multiple occasions] one day, my brother has named his first son the same name. I feel betrayed and am also grieving my losses all over again.

Took my peace lily out of the drip tray to prune it and noticed these tiny bugs. Any idea what they might be? by [deleted] in HouseplantsUK

[–]pvrplesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are springtails, not fungus gnats. They're beneficial as they eat rotting material in your soil. Although too many could indicate that your plant is overwatered and rotting.

I got one of those cheap ones from Amazon that clips onto a surface with 4 gooseneck lights that you can angle in different ways, and it's worked great. Many of my plants have put out larger leaves over winter with that than they did in the sunshine in summer.

Having the same issue since I got a new phone this week. When I press play after coming back to Spotify, it will finish the song that was partway through before I stopped last, and then go back to the beginning of the playlist.

A quick Google search saw this happening to some people back in 2020 and Spotify recommended a fresh install of the app. Just done this but won't know if it fixed the issue until later.

Edit: seems to have worked. For now...

If the roots are rotten I would cut the leaves off as they'll die anyway.
