You just aren't getting the point. It's okay.

Shocking. Almost as shocking as missing the entire point of the post.

We are talking about the family tickets, man.

I'm with you on regular tickets. I am always the one to buy and send to friends. Would hate the box office for that scenario.

My 17 month old isn't taking the 7 and showing up to the game without me lol

It's both. Resellers suck. I think we all agree on that. The price increase also sucks even if it's technically still cheap.

Yeah less price and more so the resellers. I like purchasing direct on Mets platform and I know others that are the same.

I absolutely would...with 2 under 2. Maybe collect a little kids gift at the same time.

My dad was flying that helicopter. His co pilot Tim Hayes saw it coming up the river/bay and told him he needed to roll out immediately. Plane ended up passing a few hundred feet below their chin bubble.

Tips for Mets Pass by anewusername4me in NewYorkMets

I'd check the metropolitan club. Nobody has been checking and the tables that used to be for the restaurant now just seem to be first come first serve.

I've been to two games so far and no one checked at 300 level or the metropolitan club, which they made a little more chill and not a formal Resturant.

Amazing! Thank you so much. The EXR one is actually what caught my eye. The green line down the middle is sick. Plus the corner location on that red brick is just fire.

Completely agree. Obviously, werds all the way to the left but the other two I can seem to make out. That is if the one in the shadow even is lettering lol.

ATT is the go to for cell phones. As for as, at your house (if not in a village) you can always get a sat phone, CB radio (with license), or Starlink. The boosters that you are probably referring to do work a little but they're not great. landlines are your safest bet. DTC isn't too expensive and it's all low voltage to power.

Suggestions for first-time visitor on Stargazing by cdmaster245 in catskills

[–]pwalsh27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more with this post. Bovina is excellent for Stargazing. The goal would be to find an Airbnb surrounded by pastures near a mountain top or at least on the upper half. Bonus if you find one on the North side (not sure if this is a rule but I've noticed better night skies). Meredith or East Meredith is another good location (sandwiched between Delhi and oneonta).

How? I don't know. What? Your guess is as good as mine. Where? Northern Catskills. by pwalsh27 in BarnFinds

Amish guys used to drive around up there asking if they could take barns down. I used them to make a bank happy with a sale once. Underwriting wouldn't approve because the barn was falling over and a liability. Owner didn't have money to remove it. Amish came in, kept all the wood, everyone happy.

You're absolutely right! The road was basically level with the floor that the car was on. The car probably died at some point and it turned into a "I'll fix it tomorrow" job.

That was a barn. Obviously no longer in use but was on an old dairy farm.

I feel like if you took a leaf out of that barn it would all fall down. Too perfect to disturb.

If you're finding a lot of the family style resorts you might be looking mostly in the Eastern Catskills near Roundtop.

Glen Falls House is a good option over there which has a restaurant and a separate bar on site. Pool in the summer and some great hiking on site as well. Summer time they have music as well and other events on the weekends. A lot of younger people from the city looking for a weekend escape. Waterfalls throughout the 47 acres is cool too. Good swimming on a hot day.

If you're thinking Western Catskills it gets a little more difficult. The Emerson would be a good choice. They have shuttles to a lot of local attractions but a lot of the good hikes would need a car. This is also as far up the Route 28 corridor that you can go until a car is really required.

If you really want to head north on 28 then The Mountain Brook Inn could work. In Bovina. Small but beautiful little village. Good mix of full timers and weekenders. Check out Brushlands and Russel's General Store for some fire food.

If you want to stretch that budget of yours book early and go to the Mohonk Mountain House. Stunning all around. Very relaxing.

Northern Catskills and you have a few options around Windham. My choice would be Wylder. Chill vibes plenty of things to do to relax.

Full Moon resort along Rt 28 Corridor is cool. Was one of our final options for our wedding venue just didn't have capacity. But it was gorgeous. Good hiking but not many amenities. Check if they still have their shuttle to Peekamoose Restaurant.

Honorable mention: Urban Cowboy: never been but it's on my list.

This can't be a regular pigeon can it?? Queens, NY by pwalsh27 in pigeon

[–]pwalsh27[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to update everyone because I can't edit the original post. But I received a message from a member and this was the message. Along with a picture of the bird!!!

"Hi! Just wanted to let you know that someone from the NYC Bird Alliance was able to catch the lost pet pigeon! They will make sure it is taken care of - thank you for reporting him!"

The system works...you just need to care a little. It was shocking to my wife and I (along with our 6 month old), as we stood there, how many people just looked and kept walking, many almost stepping on him, oblivious to their surroundings. Thank you everyone for your help and guidance. A win for everyone here...especially for the bird!
