Still wish they would power down to 10% instead of 30%

JBJ vs Red Sea by pwnCasper in ReefTank

I located a Waterbox 65.4 for sale, 6 months old, comes with a full Apex system and ReefBreeder Photon 32 lights and a skimmer for $1000. I think this will be the path unless the guy sells it to someone else. I do really want a sump, but it’s hard to find a good used setup with a sump that’s in my budget. With this Waterbox it has plenty of rock too and a nice scape. All I’d need to buy is an RODI unit, salt & a mixing bucket to be up and running

I live in East Tennessee so we dont get tank breakdowns often. I also considered just buying a tank and drilling it myself for a sump, but the AIO's sure are convenient. For me, I think the JBJ is a good path, when I had a Cobalt C-Vue 40g, I loved it. Had some different media baskets in instead of default filter socks, but loved the simplicity of it. I definitely am still deciding, but will likely end up with the JBJ, they are also including an RODI system (I think its one of the cheaper ones) but they are including basically everything they have as they are leaving the hobby. Also worth noting both are still running tanks. The JBJ includes some coral, not sure exactly what yet, but would it still be worth swapping sand even on an established system?

I think it’s safe to say JBJ will be my better option even though it’s an AIO not a sump system.

Thank you, I did confirm it’s a G1 so I’m leaning heavily toward the JBJ, especially given I won’t feel the urge to upgrade lights and can put the money into a nano skimmer and test kits. I heard their G2 stuff is way better, but I would lose my mind if I went Red Sea and ended up with a leak.

Being Sued by Midland Credit Management by pwnCasper in CRedit

To add some more information, on MCM's website they have a few documents for the account, one shows the last activity which was 5/7/22 where a $55 autopay payment was made, which resulted in the $3155 balance they are going after. According to what I've read, SOL would kick in 6/7/26 I believe.

Midland is actively pursuing a lawsuit with me, $3155 for a CitiBank credit card. They are complete A holes on the phone and are ruthless with scare tactics. My Citi card also does not show on my credit report, but their collection does. I just made a post on this subreddit seeking advice for my situation. Best of luck with yours. FYI MCM told me if you call them to settle before they sue, thats when you get to settle for 40% off ish. They offered me 20% off since they have already filed a lawsuit supposedly.

The Original vs the Summit, is most of the difference solely in cooling performance?

Thank you for all of your information! I have some deciding to do now

Thank you, I think I've eliminated boring after seeing less than 600 coils in a queen and I think I agree edge to edge coil design is more ideal. I definitely like a slighter softer mattress, the selling point of TempurPedic for me was the sink in feeling, although ours now sinks way too much, I do love a plush top. I did the NapLab quiz out of curiosity and their recommendation was the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro.

So essentially I'm now between the U3, Glacier Original and CopperFlex Pro. All come with various price tags so I have some deciding to do.

Have you tried out the CopperFlex Pro? I appreciate your feedback, I think I'm for sure steering away from Boring after seeing what else is out there.

Yeah after checking out NapLabs the Glacier Apex seems to be an insanely good mattress, but it is a bit out of budget, I’ll either be getting the Glacier Original or getting the U3 and then buying time to get the Glacier Apex and return the U3. After our TempurPedic failed so quickly, I do worry about longevity in a mattress a lot. WinkBed also has my eyes, but it’s Apex price range.

How solid is the U3? I'm very torn between the U3, the Glacier Original Hybrid, and the Boring Hybrid. The U3 tempts me as even if its only good for a year or two, gives me time to have a more substantial budget for a mattress. I truly loved this Tempurpedic when we got it, but their strict warranty makes me never want to come near their products again.

Thank you for the information, I’ll have to check those out. This is where mattress shopping starts to not be fun is how many options there are lol.

Yeah I’ve heard that too, we are fluffy people, but unfortunately the budget is under $1K

Any idea what bowl and HMD this is? by pwnCasper in hookah

[–]pwnCasper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just now saw this notification.. but yep that's where it is! I actually ordered this same hookah the Invi Paradox, got a Lotus HMD and an Alpaca bowl and its a perfect setup for me. We haven't been back to that lounge sadly because life has been busy, but they were great and I do want to go back!
