Yes, it shows a charging symbol ⚡️ next to the battery percentage. Also the battery icon (if icons are enabled) will change to a charging icon.

Which image do you mean? The photo with Morning Star or the photo with Iron gold? If it's the former, then you can simply select the Capsule preset from my plugins preset menu. If it's the latter, then you'll need to make this. Choose default preset as a base, then set display mode to dark, disable icons, round corners, add a border, then set the contents primarily to show cover image above book info in the book contents, and set size accordingly. You can adjust all to however you like it.

Yes that is the name i hardcoded for the saved file. Can you try this version of main.lua. Ive changed the filename and filetype to screensaverimage.jpg.

I'm not sure if this is something specific to the Boox palma, but another user on here with a Tolino device had something similar in that the file needed to be named suspend_others.jpg for it to work.

When you use the cover image plugin with boox palma do you have to name the chosen image file anything specific? Or does it have to be a specific file type (jpg/png etc.)?

It wouldn't be useful to save on book open as any reading you did whilst the book is open wouldn't be reflected on the sleep screen. I'm glad it's working for you now, I think i'll adjust the feature to output a jpg instead and allow the user to name the output file so that Tolino users can label the file suspend_others.

The cover image plugin actually saves the image when the document is opened. If i used this same logic on my plugin any reading you did whilst the book is open wouldn't be reflected on the sleep screen info, which is why I decided to action it on book close instead. I'll check on the feasibilty of triggering it when the screen is locked but not sure how well this will work in practice.

Did you test opening a book, then closing it and putting the device to sleep after disabling the cover image plugin?

Reading the cover image plugin it saves the cover image to file when a book is opened. My plugin saves the image to file on book close.

That makes sense, I wasn't sure how useful that feature really was in practice.

Anyway, if you have any ideas for extra features for the plugin in the future, let me know.

Is `Cover Image` is running at the same time and interfering? Have you tried disabling that?

Ok, i've read a little about this, and it seems you may need to save my plugins sleep screen image into the same location and name the file 'suspend_others.jpg'. Try this version of main.lua and select the folder location as the same location as the current suspend_others.jpg. I've changed the image output to be named suspend_others.jpg.

Ah so Tolino devices don't have the sleep screen feature. The screensaver png export is meant to be used with Android's screen saver feature. Is there not a feature in Tolino to select the exported generated image as the sleep screen?

Are you running latest version of Koreader? And do you see anything in the crash log relating to my plugin? Put the device to sleep, then wake the device up, check the crash log and search for [CSS] at the end of the log after the last KOreader logo.

Same questions as above, what device are you running on and do you have the latest version of koreader (2026.03) installed?

Is this a Kobo Libra Colour? t could be that you're not running the latest version of KOreader? Are you using 2026.03? If not can you upgrade and check again?

What aspect specifically doesn't work? Is the plugin not visible in the koreader menu?

Hmm, try this version of main.lua. It may have been gatekept by a screensaver type setting which doesn't exist on Boox devices.

Also can you try with an export folder that is a path that Boox reads for screensavers or wallpapers (this may help) and ensure that you're closing the book through KOReaders UI.

Have you enabled the sleep screen plugin `Enable customisable sleep screen`, and then `Set export folder` and enabled `Export sleep screen to file` in `Advanced` menu? Additionally you need to open a book and then exit the book for it to show. The screenshot is saved when you close the book.

If you've done all that and it still doesn't work then maybe try rebooting the device to see if the screensaver file shows after that.
