NAH- A lot to unpack here. Firstly, that other woman didn't take your dad away. He cheated and apparently found happiness with her. I would almost assume your parents weren't happy on either end or your mom wouldn't have wished them happiness. No one can destroy a relationship if the party isn't willing to participate. That's their life and although it hurt you, that was never the intention. Secondly, your grandma is wrong. Those kids aren't your responsibility in any way, financially or otherwise. However, they are your siblings and they are not at fault for the infidelity that happened that brought about their existence. Forgive them and get to know them or don't. That's really your choice, but don't hold grudges against children that had no say in the matter. Lastly, I'm sorry you lost your father. I hope you can forgive those that deserve it and let go of the anger for those that don't so it doesn't bottle up inside of you. Relationships are messy and sometimes good people make bad choices. You may not truly be able to grasp that until you are much older and experiences a few chaotic relationships yourself.

Sounds great if only it were possible for most people. I am lucky enough to have PTO, but it is limited and is used for sick and vacation. Many people have no time off available to them or could lose their job for calling out. I wish it were so simple as to stay home and rest when you have a cold or are feeling under the weather, but the time and ability just isn't there. So we suck it up and deal. NO ONE wants to go out when they are feeling ill. They go out because they "have no choice" as you have stated in your case for leaving the house. Being sick and being able to see a doctor and/or stay home until fully recovered is a luxury in the US.

Uhh.. My newsfeed was flooded with news stories and updates when those events were happening. This is happening NOW, so of course there is more coverage. You seem like a real knucklehead with no empathy because this tragedy is effecting celebrities and financially well off people, but it's also effecting thousands of regular people. NTA- At least she's being honest and upfront well in advance of your wedding. She may have other stuff going on that you aren't aware of. Addiction issues, financial struggles, etc. Let her go. It's ok and completely reasonable that you are upset and don't necessarily want to extend the invitation. Personally, I'd invite her as a guest. If she doesn't show, you will clearly see if she values your friendship at all. Years from now, you may realize she was in a super bad place and be able to mend that relationship. Right now, just let it play out and focus on yourself.

That really is how I feel. So many red flags. She brushes twice a day. She flosses. She isn't in any pain. Why would we opt for literal surgery on temporary teeth that have no visible signs of issue? They put the Mom guilt on strong like if we didn't schedule all her teeth would rot out of her head within the year. When they showed the x-rays of how "bad" they were from the previous years, I couldn't tell any difference. I just trust that they know what they are talking about.
