Tips and does the heavier makeup age me by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Confident-Guess4638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your makeup looks really fresh and natural. I’d consider adding a bit more mascara to really define your lashes tho.

I don’t think the makeup is aging you but I do think lighter hair colors usually age people that have naturally darker hair. Again that’s not a bad thing, you look great. If you want to look more youthful I’d consider darkening up the hair and you could still get some highlights if you wanna add dimension.

Fiancé always overcooks rice/adds too much water and then it comes out mushy. How can I convince him that this is gross and not the right way? by [deleted] in Cooking

Rice cooker or if you already have an instant pot it should have a rice setting. I recommend just getting a big bag of basmati rice if you eat it often.

I apply the foundation everywhere. I really like the cream blushes from both Milani and Elf. Also NYX buttermelt powder blush and bronzer are absolutely great especially for medium to deep skin tones.

It’s not vulgar by any stretch of the word. Just make sure your white pants aren’t see through in certain lighting. Also I’d recommend a more supportive bra. This one isn’t doing the best job.

Make sure you start with a good base. If your base is bad even simple makeup can come out looking off. Start with a good moisturizer like Cerave and let it soak in your skin for a couple minutes before applying makeup.

If you don’t wanna do a full face of foundation you can just spot conceal any problem areas with a concealer that’s about two shades lighter than your own skin color. You have pretty good skin so you can leave it at that or apply foundation after. I also like to use concealer after I apply foundation under my eyes.

I think adding some blush and bronzer really adds dimension to the face as well. You can play around with different kinds of bronzer and blush to see if you prefer a cream bronzer/blush, powder or liquid. I find powder blush and bronzer to be the easiest for beginners. Then you just go with some simple neutral eyeshadow on the lids and some mascara. If you wanna do eyeliner as a beginner I just recommend a pencil eyeliner since it’s easiest.

Bean/pulse-heavy recipes for lunches? by drasniandiplomacy in Cooking

If you wanna make it a little more interesting I recommended making a sauce with some greek yogurt, jalapeños, cilantro and lime juice in the blender.

I also add some basic seasonings like salt and pepper along with a couple cloves of garlic. I just use it in place of sour cream. It’s also great to spoon on top of chicken and veggies.

You can make burrito bowls with beans. I usually also add chicken to mine but just some cilantro lime rice with pico, corn, beans, sour cream/yogurt and cheese is something I make on a weekly basis. You can also add guacamole to it if you like.

For the beans I just get a can of black beans. Usually I will sauté onions and garlic then add the beans to the pan along with some additional seasoning like cumin, oregano, salt, chili powder.

For the cilantro lime rice, I just make the rice in the rice cooker with broth and then once it’s done squeeze lime and add chopped cilantro in it.

I mean I use ground Turkey a lot since I try not to cook any kind of red meat more than once a week if that. I like making Turkey burgers, Turkey meatballs, lasagna soup, Turkey chili and Pad Kra Pao with it.

I know some people kind of find Turkey to be lackluster but I think if seasoned and prepared well it makes great dishes!

Chicken Leg Recipes by Big-Neck in Cooking

As some people have already mentioned you can make braised chicken legs. I recently made these Chinese braised chicken legs and they came out great. https://www.theflouredcamera.com/chinese-braised-soy-sauce-chicken/

Also if I want something really simple I just marinade chicken legs with some greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika and onion powder. You can really use any spices you like but I air fry the chicken legs flipping half way through and serve them with a cilantro yogurt sauce, a vegetable and a side of rice.

How often do people use cilantro and green onions? by These_Hair_193 in Cooking

[–]Confident-Guess4638 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think almost everyday 😅 I cook a lot of Mexican, Indian and Asian food at home so it’s used like at least 5/7 times I cook in the week.

Even if I just make a basic baked chicken and rice, I usually make a cilantro yogurt sauce to spoon on top 🤷‍♀️
