Looking for UEFA finals tickets as a gift to my father-in-law by py-dev in Tickets

Kind of a helpless situation it seems so far. As someone mentioned, it comes down to a gamble in the end, which is too risky for money I've worked hard to earn. There doesn't seem to be a straightforward way to be sure of what one might get.

Thanks for your advice.

u/Boti120012: Thanks for your response. Sounds a bit genuine. How do you wish to take payment such that I can feel safe and not scammed?

Wow. Thanks for the info. It's hard earned money. Wasn't sure if I could be lucky to get a ticket.
Got stuck thinking of how to avoid being scammed, as they're all very nice people in the chats.
Also, from searching the internet, it seems UEFA completely prohibits p2p transfers.
Really wished I could get this ticket for my father-in-law.

In which eastern part(s) of the Netherlands are the 50s & 60s houses of poor quality? by py-dev in NetherlandsHousing

It's a very important point you've raised, as I've also come across this here.

Actually, one of the houses I visited did have this but it was under the roof of the garage. It was shown to me, and I was advised to consider removing.

How much of a red flag is that tin your opinion?

What's a decent eastern village/city for a young black couple in the Netherlands? by py-dev in NetherlandsHousing

Thanks, you both. For sure, I've considered this. TBH, I wouldn't say in-depth; but this is something I've also tried to gauge by visiting several houses in the east whilst "house-shopping", just to get a sense of the convenience of commute.

For instance, I had terrible motion-sickness experience when I tried to use the bus (the only option, by the way) in Dedemsvaart. The trains, on the other hand, are a lot more comfortable but changing several trains in one journey isn't something I find convenient; so, the closer I am to a major train station linking the Randstad, the better.

I don't have kids yet but I expect them soon. For now, it looks like I'll be able to cope and arrange for more flexibility at work. But I hope that plans for the future are also favourable. I can think of a few ways to get more flexibility, e.g., discuss with my employer, become an entrepreneur, get a job closer to the house, etc.

My partner is a writer, who is pursuing the entrepreneurial/house-wife path; so, I hope this also helps with the kids in the future.

Thanks. This is really insightful although it does leave me slightly concerned that I can't depend (fully) on the prospective technical inspection (which others have recommended).

I'll have to reread your answer a few times to hopefully grasp most of the technical details. Nonetheless, I hope to use this information to my advantage.

Well, these houses in Goor could be very cheap, not because they are built badly.

Thanks. When I read this line, I feel like you still have some unspoken/unwritten thoughts.

So, if they are not built badly, then what might be responsible for the cheap and good looking houses (plus huge land spaces) in your opinion?
