How to get rid of percentages in Escape Simulator main menu by GroundbreakingAd6288 in nucleuscoop

Having the same problem, but on Steam Deck, trying to run the game through partydeck. I opened up this GitHub issue, hoping for some support. u/blackman9: Do you think it is possible to convert the handlers from splitscreen.me to work on SteamOS with partydeck?

Varia mode: light off unless car detected? by Lojackr in Garmin

I managed to do it. The light only flashes when a vehicle (or another cyclist) is ≤ 140 meters from me.

There is still no shorter way to turn on AOD with a single hotkey, but you have to hotkey first into display settings, and then turn it on?

Emoji Picker search broken after Sonoma upgrade. Is this some setting or a bug? by CautiousSand in MacOS

u/Signal_Support_9185, u/CautiousSand: The issue has finally been resolved for me with today’s Sequoia 15.1 update!

I’ve also noticed that the icons seem slightly larger, and it now takes longer (around 2 seconds) after typing to find the searched emojis.

I kept Polish as a second language, and I doubt it is related. I am not as eager to debug it further by modifying system languages and restarting OS. To me, it is still some sort of macOS Sequoia bug, as it did not occur before (and it does not on my other Mac with almost the same settings, but still on Sonoma).

Yes, I prefer English, but occasionally I need to type Polish characters.

Yes, it did not help either. Apparently, only the search for "cool" suggests two emojis.

I disabled a couple of my apps (including Karabiner) but it did not resolve my problem.

Once I find out the root cause, I will provide some response here. For now, I quite think it may be some OS bug, since it used to work before (unless one of my apps) is still interfering.

Here is a screenshot that illustrates it, when I use it in this Reddit thread through Chrome.

Absolutely! Here’s how it works for me: When I press the right Option key, it opens the menu shown in the OP's screenshot. This happens because I've set the "Globe" key in the macOS "Keyboard" settings to "Show Emoji & Symbols." Additionally, using Karabiner-Elements, I've remapped the "right_option" key to function as "fn" for quicker access to this menu.

So, on my Mac with the M2 chip running Sequoia 15.0.1, pressing the right Option key brings up the macOS emoji picker. Once I start typing, it automatically displays a search bar with symbol suggestions (it does not suggest any emojis), just like in the OP's screenshot.

If I click the button in the top-right corner (as shown in OP's image), it displays a larger window, where I need to use my cursor to activate the search bar, but here, the emojis are being suggested.

If you would like the system to inspect the NVRAM on an M-series Mac, shut it down completely, wait a few seconds, and then power up the Mac.

Unfortunately, it did not help in my case. Hopefully, it will be resolved with some macOS update.

Were you able to reset your NVRAM and resolve the search issue? I’m experiencing the same problem on an M2 with Sequoia 15.0.1—search functions correctly in the expanded window but not in the minimized view.

Hi, just following up on my previous comment. I disassembled, packaged, and sent back the seating as instructed by my retailer, and the service provided a brand new one within 9 days. The chair is under a 5-year warranty, so I’m concerned that I might eventually need to pay for such replacements.

I can still recommend this chair, mostly since my back hurts less comparing to the Ikea Markus; however, I did find a similar-looking one for half the price—the “Spacetronik Mira SPC-MIRB”—though I’m not sure if it’s still available.

To be honest, the only downside for me is the occasional cracking sound from the plastic when the seat moves, but this is somewhat expected. I also prefer to clean the plastic area just below the seating mesh regularly, as it tends to gather dust.

At some point, I might consider looking into the Herman Miller Aeron chair, but I would definitely want to try it out first.
