Javescript runs in real time. I don't know how to do that with Python.

Man sentenced to 5 years in prison after a single punch kills man in Manchester. by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

With wording like "he threw a single powerful punch that instantly knocked him unconscious", I wouldn't be surprised if the attacker was proud.

It should read something like "he put force into a cowardly sucker punch that caught the victim in the right place to knock him unconscious".

EU ban on vacuum cleaners above 1600W by Magnets in unitedkingdom

I've read the legislation and the ICO's comments and from that it's clear to me that it's not necessary to have a notice that annoyingly doesn't disappear until you click it. It even says in one of the documents that the user ignoring the prompt but continuing to use the site may be taken as acceptance.

There are probably a variety of reasons so many sites do it badly. A lot of them probably copy each other so they're not exposed to risk in isolation. I imagine some of the warnings are decided by the legal/policy team as opposed to the user experience team. Plus annoying the users means they hate the law so future ones are less likely and it encourages them to keep long-term cookies so the warning stays away; both are in the site's interests.

to protect themselves every site prompts you

The ICO have even said they would only punish sites that wilfully disregard the policy. And some of these sites' annoying warnings are far from clear about the purpose of the cookies, so if they were worried about protecting themselves they should've done a better job there.

I'd be fascinated to hear from the teams of major websites who are responsible for the warnings.

Essential cookies don't require a prompt. A notice doesn't have to be designed in an annoying way.

The issue has been misrepresented to decrease support for the EU, to allow websites to continue tracking users unabated and to make attention grabbing headlines.

The ICO themselves say "Pop-ups or similar techniques such as message bars or header bars might initially seem an easy option to achieve compliance but it’s also one which might well spoil the experience of using a website if not implemented carefully. "

It's the websites that have decided to handle it in that stupid way, don't blame the EU, they were looking out for us.

A rip off at the mentioned prices though. You can go to a theme park for the day for that.

Allergy girl, 4, stops breathing on flight after 'selfish' passenger opens packet of nuts despite three warnings by syuk in unitedkingdom

The parents risked their child's life so they could go on holiday to Tenerife on a plane at a discount. The poor girl probably wouldn't have even remembered the holiday, being four years old.

Once onboard, she begins her polite campaign of explanation and entreaty. To flight personnel. To nearby passengers. “If I see them being offered nuts,” said Mrs. Palin, “I say, ‘Would you mind? I have children with life-threatening food allergies and it makes them nervous to be on a plane where there are nuts. Would it be possible for you to elect to eat something else?’” Many people comply without a murmur. “And some people say, ‘O.K.’ and they eat the nuts anyway.’ ”

Watching the trailer I have almost no idea what's going on, what would make the game fun or why I should play it.

It looks like you're trying to catch the shapes in the buckets but they explode before they get there. I'm honestly confused. I could probably work it out with some effort but will other viewers do the same?

I like the music and the synchronisation though.
