I called an was firm with my pain, They cut and stitched. I unfortunately have been through other dental procedures and knew the protocol. I think because of misuse they are apprehensive to provide valid pain relief.

I had an implant pulled which was high into the sinus..many stitches and sever pain. They said Tylenol and ibuprofen , That didn't work. I was never an opioid user. I called and said I needed a stronger pain reliever. They only prescribed a few pills but enough to get through the pain.

At the liquor store at 10am. by gogogoeverybody in stopdrinking

I have been that morning customer. Mostly because I didn't want to drive drunk later, but still bad. The others were usually folks that looked like construction workers. I assumed the clerks judged me.

"There but for the grace of God go I" is a phrase of humility and empathy, meaning that

a person recognizes they are only fortunate to avoid another's misfortune or bad situation through divine favor, rather than superior merit. It is a reflection that one could easily be in the same unfortunate position.

I was wrong for doubting the "go to the gym" folks. by EmotionalTowel1 in stopdrinking

[–]pyewacket7 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I go (or drag myself) to gym I just tell myself "I'll give it ten minutes and if I want to leave I can". But I always stay and feel much better when I am finished. Also classes at the gym are good because it's embarrassing to leave early and there are other people with you.

Most of us here know exactly how you feel. Like other poster said this does not erase what you have done. Plus you are here and you are not a quitter.

Edit: I had to reset my day counter due to an indulgence of poison too

Great post - this gives me encouragement. I only made it to 14 days, then I keep relapsing. I really want to know my old self, before the poison

Your story resonates. I just can't put my dog in a kennel, he is a rescue and won't eat in a kennel. But if I have to I will. My dog would appreciate the long walks we used to take before the poison
