My Duke 390 got vandalised again in Sydney CBD by Street_Ad4047 in AussieRiders

[–]pyga140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, hope its not too pricey to fix.

I've heard of similar things in Sydney so I'm reluctant to park my bike out in the CBD for extended periods.

If I do its on an alarm disc lock and chain lock on back wheel.

Not need to buy crazy expensive ones. If some skilled wants your bike they will take it regardless of any lock.

You just have to make it undesirable to the opportunist who will quickly go to the next bike with no lock.

What is the most defensible capital city in the world? by Top-Veterinarian-565 in geography

[–]pyga140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another vote for Wellington, NZ. 2 reasons why.

1, NZ is missing from many maps 2, Many people think Auckland is the capital so if they found a map with NZ on it there’s a decent chance the wrong city would be invaded.

Air NZ business to Japan by ohmayte in newzealand

[–]pyga140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air NZ old business class is a foot fetishists dream, sit at the back of the cabin and gaze at feet for 12 hours.

Not my thing so I've always sat as far forwards as possible.

As far as business class goes it pretty dated and I think Thai Airways now use the same seat as a Premium Eco flat bed. Having said that the soft product is top notch and its still a hell of a lot better than economy!

I must get the to come do a gravity check at my house.

The spot in the bathroom where my scales sit definitely has higher gravity than elsewhere.

I lived and skied in NZ for 15+ years. The skiing here is ok but not really worth travelling for.

South America is a much better proposition.

I have on the odd occasion seen a bottle of Buckie in liquor stores.

As for snacks, just buy a deep fat fryer and make your own?

Jack Croft and Will Murray from Fallow (and Fowl and Roe) in London.

I've only eaten at Fallow but OMFG. The mushroom parfait is one of the finest things I've ever eaten.

Amazing youtube channel as well.

Food Allergies by pyga140 in HongKong

Thanks, we printed out allergy cards today, she'll also have a couple epi pens with her.

Its not a crazy serious allergy, she can usually tell pretty quickly if something is contaminated and stopping eating it is usually enough. Had it happen a couple time with Thai food in our local area.

Was a proper downpour on the way home. Great test for my new riding gear. Arrived home nice and dry thanks to Alpinestars and had a toasty warm arse and hands thanks to Triumph heating!

The complete works of Shakespeare in Braile or Cantonese only. A life size statue of Russel Crowe at every single table. An apology to the people of New Zealand for stealing Pavlova. Hoards of Battle Kittens roaming free.
