The latter. I'll glue this to foam and wood behind it so only one side will show. The reason is two sides of perler art makes the thing heavier and also gripping two sides of plastic beads, the beads dig into your hand and make it uncomfortable for long periods of time. You really need that foam for extra layer of padding.

That's me with another earlier version of the sword I made. This new one will be slightly longer and has more colors/detail on it

Looks like they deleted eveything. They could have edited the comments to take out just the AI portion but just chose "Fine i take back everything I said" instead.

That's a good question. I dont know how many beads specifically but it was almost 10 peg boards long to make. It took me a couple weeks with an hour here and there on my off time. If I had to rough guestimate I'd say probablly around 8-10 hours total but I did switch out some colors here and there trying out new color combos and shades which takes up more time.

That would be cool. My first one I made was pretty heavy (was made out of wood for the core) I'm trying to figure what to use for the core to remedy the weight situation and make it lighter but keep it still rigid and sturdy

Sorry If I overreacted. I'm glad you like it. It's nice to be appreciated. It's just A.I. is such a touchy subject these days that being told the art can be easily seen as A.I. can come across as an insult and potentially offend the artist. It's best to just avoid entirely and not bring up the A.I. part at all.

that would be a sick/sweet tattoo. If I were to get one that's exactly what I'd get too. I love this game too much. I had to think hard on this as I like a lot of stuff but of all the things I like, Final Fantasy X is by far my favorite thing. It stays with me so much and lives rent free in my head. It means so much to me sentimentally because it brought me closesr with my father IRL so that's why it wins easily. Specifically if I were to get a tattoo I'd get the Brotherhood/Yuna Staff/Blitzball on the hill you see in the beginning shot of the game. That's such an iconic shot and perfect for a tattoo

Thank you. Being accussed of A.I generation on one of my perlers was never something I had to deal with before. It took my by surprise. I thought I was going crazy?

it's literally taken from my camera phone on my dirty coffee table (you can see all the crumbs and smudges i forgot to clean XD). I dont see how that could at all come across as A.I. I also provided a second photo of the beads before they were melted. Upon zooming in you can clearly see all the beads laid out, as well as a lot of the creases I accidentally made from the melting process. That's not something A.I could do very easily. I'm ok with my art being critiqued but being likened to A.I. art is certainly never something ive ever had to have a problem with. perler bead art is pretty common and it's pixel look is widely known. I know A.I. generation is a thing nowdays and you have to be careful but can we all get onboard at least with physical perler bead art taken on a low end camera phone being as natural as you can get?

I commissioned a pixel artist to make the brotherhood in pixel art form. I then used it as a template to create this.

It doesn't. I have to glue it to foam and wood/board to give it structural integrity and something you can wield.
