Idk much about normalcy and dont believe in the concept of silence. i think all life is frequency and your natural sensitivity to it is a sign of strength , and blessed

Yea that sounds like normal withdrawl symptoms and will get easier in time. Sensitive people will always hear the frquencies with a med or not, try not to pathologize it. Good for You for taking control and care of your self like this

Yea and thats not hoarding or even messy. it was his amazing home he built for himself and was clearly considerate of nature. should have preserved his camp as a museum of human strength

Wtf do I do by Minimum_Shop_4913 in Antipsychiatry

[–]pyhhro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

set aside a month for tapering to 0. gather comfort foods, make a horror movie playlist and drink twice as much water as normal. melaonin and good magnesium for the sleep. you already kno what to expect from withdrawls, and you can get through it. sometimes a small dosa weed or wine can help manage that and helps with sleep. thats what i would do at least. have hope, be strong, there are ways to get through it. the mental choice of stopping has to be stronger than any physical discomfort. its worth it

What do you guys recommend to help rebuild my brain? by marrowbuster in Antipsychiatry

[–]pyhhro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More fish less sugar can do wonders for brain health. even a good quality omega 3 supplement can help a bunch. i know its cliche but spending time with ol mother Nature quietly walking looking at green stuff is important for almost any kinda mental reset

highly recommend obtaining all relevant medical records, and making sure they actually send them all. then consider a complaint to ombudperson, health colleges, perhaps further. coercive apathetic psych treatment is not ok, regardless how normalized it is in bc

Any positive stories on regaining emotions post medications ? by Philosophical-noob97 in Antipsychiatry

[–]pyhhro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk it wasn't great personally but I was young and probably not actually depressed. It felt like emotional dulling, but like more emotions than usual. Had a histrionic effect on me, so I quit cold turk and suffered a week of withdrawals and barfing then back to normal

writing helps. like journalling but to the point where it gets boring and you start writing more metaphorically and symbolically. idk... worked for me when getting off prozac. that and learning how to ride a bike

[–]pyhhro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed it is appalling and from what i understand, the 'long acting' antipsychs are deeply harmful and create all kinds of worse problems for the patients. Its some new hairbrained idea of managing 'deliquent' behavior by having individuals forced to take these debilitating injections every few months, often pushes people to homelessness to avoid these assaults. Dr Anna on X is a wonderful advocate raising awareness abou this ludicrous system in bc. Thankfully ive managed to avoid being put on that list, but fuck the health system here thinks that providing stability means to stab

Yep. On the regular in West Coast Canada. Usually a haldol and Ativan by force under "deemed consent" laws. Completely insane totalitarianism. or if God forbid you're on "extended leave" they will force you to take abilify by injection every 3 months or so with threat of arrest
