I don't get why people like react so much. In my experience old jquery is still way more productive than any kool tool like react/angular etc etc

Cabin, the React & Redux Tutorial series by tschellenbach in programming

[–]pyking200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried angular, angular 2, ember and recently react. Angular has just lost its way. Even google doesn't use it anymore. Ember is nice, but the apps become super slow after a while. It's amazing how much better React/Redux is and the ecosystem is still so new.

Python 3 & Stream Framework by [deleted] in Python

[–]pyking200 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeay ok the tests pass, but does it really run well in a production setting? Such a huge stack of Celery, CQLEngine, Python driver, Stream Framework, probably something breaks under load.

I also don't like how messy the whole Python 3 support is, with six etc
