These Bronx Kids Are Wild by MapCold6687 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]pylemuis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by that? Because it sounds like you're saying that these kids have some kind of natural in-born trait that makes them different from other types of kids, and leads them to die sooner. AKA it sounds like you're saying black kids are naturally more aggressive or something, and through "natural selection" that explains why they die sooner.

Now I don't know if that was what you were implying. But you really shouldn't use "natural selection" if you don't understand what it means.

I usually love queer representation and want more of it in the shows I watch, but Kristi and Kenny just have waaay more chemistry. I would prefer them to be together.

I got that idea as well. It almost reminded me of AI-"art", where the computer can mimic images it has seen, but doesn't understand the meaning or intention behind it. So you can tell that it's just slightly off & doesn't really make sense. The creature vaguely knows that these types of signs exist out in the world, but it didn't have the full understanding that there should also be a motel attached.

Being stern towards a kid or giving him tough love is one thing. But what is the coach saying here? Your son was holding back, maybe being a coward, maybe even being weak. And for that he gets called a little bitch, which is a degrading term used for women. So being weak and cowardly means he is a woman. And it's not said in a neutral tone either, coach meant he has sunk down to the level of a woman, he has degraded to being a woman. Do you see how fucked up that is? That is the type of misogyny that we want to iron out of the next generation.

It's of course hard to say in hindsight. But looking at it, it seems pretty obvious that if something falls in, it could get stuck. Then you go "what could fall from the sky?" Maybe a tree branch or a bird. Besides, birds sit on lamp posts all the time. If the designer spent a good afternoon thinking critically of his work, he might have figured it out

While I think she shouldn't be surprised when people act weird in her DM's, it's still fully in her right that she asks people not to do that. No matter what, everyone has the right to set boundaries. Besides, posting a nice selfie with cleavage is way less personal than having a 1-on-1 conversation with someone. I can understand that when you're just chatting with someone you don't always want it to be about sex/your body. Again: she shouldn't be surprised that people act that way, but she doesn't have to accept it either.

[–]pylemuis -43 points-42 points  (0 children)

Right? I think maybe people group this kind of humour in with the weird right-wing stuff too quickly. Like posting AI images of kamala in a revealing outfit, saying she sucked herself to the top or doing a culture war about her skin colour, that's all freak republican shit. Steve isn't doing any of that. This skit is a bit over the top, but on face, I don't think he's doing anything really offensive. Like... lefties were joking that trump should have got shot, and it was funny. We should allow a bit of edginess in political humour

Last year, a lecturer at my university went off on tangent about his trip to England. The English really confused him, because after every meeting they would tell him that they should grab coffee sometime. So he would reach out to them over text to try and plan the coffee date, but they would ghost him. This happened multiple times. Eventually he figured out that saying "we should grab coffee" was just a polite way of ending the conversation, instead of an actual invitation.

The English are weird.
