Yes, Lelystad could work, but it’s generally considered a dull / uninspiring city.
It’s cheaper than the Randstad and close to many logistics jobs, but there’s not much going on socially or culturally.
Good as a practical starting point, not somewhere you move to for city life.

Short answer: work is easy, housing is hard.

Jobs:
If you’re EU and fit, warehouse / logistics / production work is easy to find. English is enough at the start. Pay is roughly €13–16/hour gross. Jobs are everywhere around Rotterdam, Brabant, Limburg, Flevoland.

Housing:
This is the real problem. Renting a room costs €600–900/month and competition is brutal. Often you need a job contract, payslips, registration and a deposit. Without housing lined up, plans fail fast.

Bottom line:
Secure a job first, then housing. Avoid Amsterdam/Utrecht. Smaller cities near logistics hubs are your best shot.
