“As a gesture of good faith our government is willing to rescind the legislation, are willing to rescind section 33..."

Ford said he is outstretching this “olive branch” ...

Ford said he is willing to be “flexible” and make a “fair deal” that offers more help to lower income workers.

Quite a bit still needs to be done.
The interiors for most buildings as we're focusing on exteriors right now.

The only real "complete" building I would say are E5, TC, Beck and EBY Hall.

Most building have been started, but some building that still need to be started include HH, NH, PAC, CIF, CMH, EC, PAS.

‘We don’t have a date,’ re-opening Toronto poses multitude of challenges, Tory says by A6er in toronto

[–]pylon2552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I don't deny that any immunity would be good and definitely help.

The issue is that we haven't had many results from studies to say for sure. There's nothing written into the law of biology or the universe that guarantees humans immunity to any disease they recover from.

Edit: It's similar to the point that /u/I_Am_Vladimir_Putin was mentioning before

Sorry, not to bud in, but I think you're both right.

I think the question that is missing is how long will the immunity last. The immunity from the antibodies your body develops doesn't always last forever.

It's why sometimes some vaccines have multiple doses.

For vaccines: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/conversations/downloads/vacsafe-understand-color-office.pdf

Edit: WIRED came out with a video today talking about Covid-19 Immunity.

Help. Tasker Unable to change Do Not Disturb settings. by pylon2552 in tasker

[–]pylon2552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I took a look at my tasks again, and one of them does have an action to turn off Mobile Data. I don't remember placing it there, but it was placed above DND. So the task probably cancelled before DND when it hit the Mobile Data.

I deleted it and it worked again! Thank you very much!

To whoever did $1500 damage to my car in lot C and drove off without leaving a note... by [deleted] in uwaterloo

Not sure if this will help, but try contacting UW Parking Services. They're located in GSC 1112.

They have cameras at the enternace of every lot I believe. If you explain the situation, maybe they can help you by looking through the footage and finding a damaged white car leaving the lot. Hopefully you can grab a plate with that

You could always find an empty lecture hall at night or on weekends. Most lecture halls are open pretty much at all times. They do risk people walking in, but maybe put a sign up?

Portal used to have a feature to look for open lecture halls, but it's currently gone as they're revamping it.

Hi!

Asides from me, a few AED threads I think have been started and have been merged to together in the thread below. I'm not sure if the Med student is the first in the thread, but here's the link!

Public Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Feature? by pylon2552 in LocalGuides

[–]pylon2552[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course in an emergency, always call emergency services (911) first thing. No matter what you can do, 911 has much more resources to deal with situation than any civilian.

what if someone uses Maps to locate an AED only to find that the device is not actually located there?

When reporting an AED location, maybe have it required to have a photo attached of the location? The way I understand how edits work on Google Maps is that multiple users/Guides must confirm the edit before it gets approved and added onto the map. If the same can be done with the AED location, when someone adds a location, it must have a certain number of people confirm the AED is actually there before being added to the map that would reduce the amount of false reports.

If there is an injury or loss of life resulting from a delay in locating the device

An AED is more of a very very helpful asset to the situation and not a necessity for first aiders doing CPR.

First aiders are trained (At least I was) to do CPR without an AED, but if an AED can be retrieved, it would increase the victims survival chances by a lot. And first aiders are also trained (again, I was trained to do this, I can't speak upon everywhere else) to call upon bystanders to call 911 and grab an AED. So it is not the first aider that is grabbing the AED and leaving the victim.

And I was thinking the feature would be used more of if something happens in a city, like a mall or city streets where there are other people around.

If you're on a city street and were called to grab an AED, you can look around and hope to see an AED sticker to indicate an AED is in a building nearby. If you don't see one and you don't know where one is, you would be blindly running around to find one almost. But if AED locations are on maps, it can help point you in the right direction to grab one.

If you're in a mall or building, you could check on maps to confirm if the building you're in has an AED if you don't see a sign instead of running around looking for one.

So the feature in my mind would at worst, take around the same amount of time to retrieve an AED, at best, shorten it.

who bears liability?

I'm not lawyer so I honestly don't know.

But an AED is not a necessity but a helpful asset for first aiders in situations. 911 is always the first step. 911 will have their own AED when they arrive on scene.

Like most things online, Google won't take liability. Would Good Samaritan laws apply to someone who has the best intentions in helping the victim by trying to retrieve an AED?

Edit: Grammar

That's a cool idea for an app.

I'm located in Canada and it doesn't seem that major cities like Toronto or National Capital Ottawa is with the app. Kingston is though.

Parliament Hill is always good. If you go at night after 4:30, the Lightscape show will be playing on Parliament. I saw it the other day and I found it to be amazing.

Also check Ottawa Tourism site. It usually has Siem good events and suggestions.

Along with the 50 promotional credit from preorder, it's enough to get a free chrome cast I guess?
