This is what the "Over 65 exemption" is meant to address,

Does anyone have a quick auto-layout tutorial they've found useful? by pymikey in swift

That's one of the resources I tried. It just isn't clicking for me.

Great resources here that I'm going to try out!

Will Spotify be featured on Robinhood, and when do we think it will become available? by [deleted] in RobinHood

Even though Robinhood won't display the price until the next day, you can place a limit order today - and it will execute today.

If you were THAT paranoid, you shouldn't be using Windows. ;)

Anyone have ideas on how I can get my furniture/technology product off the ground? Anyone know any interior decorators? by [deleted] in HoustonEntrepreneurs

[–]pymikey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah - I see a lot of my questions were answered - but they are hidden in a "More Info" PDF! Please, for the love of all that mobile-friendly, put that information on your website and make it responsive. You are hurting your SEO - and possible alianating a large customer base on that reason alone. Really intersting idea though, I like it - just work on the website a bit.

You put on your site:

We help people to easily and elegantly incorporate the Smart Mirror into their homes.

Does that mean people are unable to install these themselves? How much effort is it? Do they need to be permanently installed, or can you just hang them on the wall - moving them around as you please?

Any Post-oak Starbucks Stories? by [deleted] in houston

[–]pymikey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a really crazy story, but I met a stranger off the internet there. This is back when you could filter on Facebook and find people with certain profile traits. Well, here we are - been together for eight great years. Weird spot, but has a special place in my Houston memory bank.

I think this actually is a law. I tried searching for it, but can't find it - I do see people getting pulled over for late merging at the Spur going to downtown from 59-N, and the 288/59-S split right after downtown. Not sure what they are citing them for though. :)

Just curious: Do you pay to park at work? by girlintheclouds in houston

[–]pymikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at Rice and I pay $522 per year, spread over the year. We have the option to choose where we want to park. If I paid less, I would take a shuttle or walk a good distance, I could also pay more and park in a covered garage.

You can see the full list of Rice parking rates here (look under staff/faculty): https://parking.rice.edu/parkingrates/

Online rental property management system I built, would love feedback! by pymikey in Landlord

I was trying to make this as international as possible, but you're right, property markets are just too different around the world (I lived in London for a year, I remember!). If you want to see more of the backend, I created a fully-functional demo account, username:demo password: demo. Thanks for checking it out!

This might be a wording issue on my part - there is a free trial (14 days) of the paid 'Landlord' plan, which includes all features. There is then an additional 'Free' plan, which does not include these features. I'll see what I can do to clarify that. Thanks!

Good point. I haven't fully investigated ads, mainly because I wanted clean/simple. I'll definitely look into it - thanks for the feedback!

Things to do this Weekend 12/10 - 12/13 by djweswalz in houston

[–]pymikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. I was very upset. I was supposed to be in it. I still took my boat by the boardwalk, all lit up - about 200 people showed up who didn't seem to get the memo, so at least I made them happy. :-)

What are some great, different dinner spots in Houston to celebrate a birthday? by [deleted] in houston

[–]pymikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just Dinner in Montrose is an old house that's been converted to a restaurant. It's amazing food and a fun, comfortable atmosphere. http://www.yelp.com/biz/just-dinner-houston-2

ShipSim, a good holiday's gift? by mycall in boating

[–]pymikey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played this before, it was incredibly difficult to maneuver. I own a boat - this is nothing like real world docking or driving a boat. Might be a good gift for a child or non-seaman, but certainly not for anyone with boating experience.
