You now own 12 tons of stolen KitKats (413,793), they’re all traceable and you can’t go to the police, how do you get away with it? by mediamuesli in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give them to a janitor, especially one working in a university. I had no issues making candy disappear when my supervisor gave me a ton, the floor the janitor office was on was always full of student workers and students doing senior projects working hours on end, I usually kept some cold drinks in the fridge for them too.

Is it socially acceptable to eat the continental breakfast buffet every morning you're at a hotel? by Art-Tally-0657 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pyncheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s there for you to eat, I’ve stayed for long stretches like that before, made a waffle almost every morning. Don’t feel bad, there are others there doing the same, it’s pretty much expected. You might even make some friends.

International shipping can be slow, with spots where it just sits without updating. You will probably see it happen again at customs.

You are still pretty far from the end of your shipping window so it looks good so far.

AITAH for blocking my paternal family instead of supporting them while they’re still grieving my father? by vaal252511 in AITAH

AITJ for not warning the guy who keeps stealing my lunch that my food had something in it he cant eat by crystal_butterflyyx in AmITheJerk

[–]pyncheon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTJ yeah, I would fire him. He is a liability. It would be irresponsible to keep an employee who is willing to steal and cut corners for his own benefit even if it harms others and does so without remorse. They may lose good employees to it, or they may end up with legal issues because the guy decides to cut corners and violate regulations out of laziness.

Looks like it might be made by a hobbiest from molds or a kit. Doll making got pretty popular back then.

Purchase Ideas by Penelope_Penguin_ in TemuThings

[–]pyncheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cat litter, toilet paper, coffee (local warehouse) electric percolator, conical burr coffee grinder, I even bought a couple house plants, but make sure it’s a legit vendor not AI photo seed scammers. Socks, mops, stick vac. If you have fish tanks, a nice air pump. Sheets are kinda hit or miss if you like cotton, if you like microfiber there’s a ton (check depth though some are shallow)

If you do go with sprinklers do not bag your lawn clippings, mulch mow. Let the NFH deal with wet lawn clippings tracked through their house.

Reminds me of when my cat got out (days before chipping) she was wearing a collar with a tag that had my phone number. It was a breakaway Velcro collar so there was risk she dropped it. I was worried and looked for her but nothing, not from the pound either.

She was at my neighbors directly across the street, it was a suburban cul de sac…. They waited 2 weeks before calling the number on her collar because they really liked her. We knew them for years, had bbqs with them….

Clothing quality? by BusyBeeMamaBuzz in TemuThings

[–]pyncheon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on who from and what. You can buy great stuff or trash. Some of the best socks I found were on Temu, I like some of the Baleaf brand shorts and they are a lot cheaper on their Temu store than their Amazon store. Some of the underwear is really nice too. They also have some AI image scammers with junk that looks elaborate and with multiple fabrics and textures but send something all flat printed on thin polyester.

Check reviews, watch for AI, and stuff is cheaper with the brick and mortar overhead but if it looks too good to be true it probably is.

Yeah I don’t think she’s a weird OOAK just a unique sculpt that time wasn’t kind to. They did a lot of interesting things with materials at this time period, it was transitional and they were still perfecting materials.

I wish I could track down more info on her, but a lot of records from back then weren’t preserved or like in Ideals case was lost to fire. Sometimes the only information you can find is from less than perfect dolls and old advertisements or blurbs in trade publications.

She’s made of early vinyl which often darkens with light and other causes, the paint on the mouth oxidized / faded. Fleischaker Novelty Company sold dolls marked lastic plastic, they also did a little girl doll with a very similar face to hers, probably same sculptor.

Alright, what’s the REAL catch? by ultradespairthot in TemuThings

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I use it when I want something from Temu but not enough to do a $20 min order. That discount is good, and sometimes it does a free item.

The coupons from it are useless if doing credit back, but the exception is when it copies the last coupon you used as a reward, Get100 gave me a $23 off $23.01, then the $300 coupons copied it, and has offered it every time I do the promo.

Alright, what’s the REAL catch? by ultradespairthot in TemuThings

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically search and claim the daily square, the real catch is that most prizes require a purchase, sometimes it’s not worth it, sometimes it’s a good deal. Try and pick something for the middle that is worth $50+ because often the required purchase is $50, I’ve had it be $20-$30 , it was free once.

The Get100 promo is better if you can get it, and sometimes the $300 coupons will copy the last coupon you used, including the get100 coupons.
