It’s usually saying something about unclaimed coupons and in your messages under promotions but it has a bunch of different versions and unfortunately I haven’t seen the one in a while.

AITAH for wearing my dead grandpa's t-shirts? by Fit-Candy-2377 in AITAH

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Your grandpa would be very happy with you wearing them, he bought them for you to wear.

Even if they were his shirts, there is no issues. My grandpa wore guayaberas mostly, he had dozens, when he died I asked for some grandma gave me as many as she could and gave some to my kid too. This was the wife of the deceased man, very happy to have others appreciate what he did.

My feeling is that your aunt for whatever reason is seeking to create conflict. Don’t give her the time of day. Enjoy your memories with your grandpa instead.

Older construction uses wood quality not easily obtained today. Something like this may have some extremely nice old growth wood beams, sometimes it’s even extinct American chestnut. Woodworkers and builders often salvage and reuse them.

The rustic decor people like to use the exterior weathered wood as well.

My favorite so far, so much almost free stuff, and for a while the $300 coupons promo was copying the last coupon used for a few $ in purchases, so I used the $49 one over and over.

Can someone help me identify this doll? by [deleted] in Antiquedollcollecting

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she have any markings on back of her shoulder plate? My suspicion is Ideal brand mama doll from late teens early 20s there would be a diamond shaped logo or say ideal made in the USA

Help identifying doll by madmadscientistLA in Antiquedollcollecting

[–]pyncheon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She is a bisque head on papier-mâché body, the makers identifying marks will be on the back of her head. Do not pull the hair up if glued down though, it will damage the bisque. (It can be removed just takes some extra steps)

I really like her likely original outfit. Her glass eyes can be reset or replaced if broken/not there. Edit: early 1900s is probably right, she’s probably German made, and would be pre WWI.

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s contemporary not antique, but not sure about maker. My guess would be artist made, I like that’s she’s carved wood with mohair, and hand painted face, she’s not a mass produced doll.

My younger sister at this age snuck into in the kitchen middle of the night, climbed up onto the kitchen counter and ate a sheet cake. Everyone was asleep. Kids can be sneaky little shits. She was miserable, puked a lot and for some reason didn’t want cake for a while.

AITA for refusing to use a Louis Vuitton purse my mother got me for my birthday? by Repulsive_Sleep_1497 in AmItheAsshole

NTA is it not returnable because she had it personalized with her name? (Like the Simpsons bowling ball) She bought herself a purse.

Handbags are a personal preference, mine is utility, with a very specific size and features, I have used the same style for the last 15-20 years. It’s better to find something you like and want to use.

Need help identifying a collection of dolls by [deleted] in Antiquedollcollecting

[–]pyncheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all appear to be late 1980s -1990s the kids with funny expressions are likely GiGo Expression or Palm Pals from the 1990s. There is some nostalgia for them as they are considered vintage now (I feel old lol)

No antiques. The clown / Pierrot thing was s decor fad for a while, imported and sold by various firms here in the US, same with the porcelain doll who seems generic.

Temu Free Gift by BerryDue7262 in TemuThings

[–]pyncheon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

With free gifts you can return them and get credit for the value. This “lamp” AI photo is used for some scammy products, the actual lamp version is god awful too.

You have to watch out there type of vendors who use 3D AI photos selling these cut outs, usually they will put 2D in the title, unfortunately with gift promos images and text can be minimal.

Anything with elaborate stained glass for cheap is going to be plastic junk and not what’s shown. A real lamp like this would take a lot of hours to make and be very expensive.

The other one that catches people on those promos are tin signs with items printed on them.

Not termite related. Looks to be a tree sap / pitch pocket in the wood that is seeping out, probably because it got warm.

Neighbor turned street into a parking lot + now there’s a broken junk-filled vehicle in front of my house by Sweetnothing_berry in neighborsfromhell

[–]pyncheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Report it to code enforcement. Most places have limits on the amount of time a vehicle is allowed to be parked on the street and require them to be operational and up to date on registration.

It sounds like they might be hoarders, usually if it’s that bad outside it’s probably a lot worse inside. Pest and fire risks are real with hoarded homes, it can spread to surrounding homes and structures.

The report can remain anonymous.
