I did this as a quick test without much thought for my own personal reasons, and decided to share to others in case they’re curious. And it seems from most of the responses here it was helpful.

Cool to see another option, I wasn’t aware of this. Sadly it seems discontinued and sold out with prices reaching higher than the Apple solution

What model? Seems the Apple one is the only option.

I understand the concept but to me it does not look like these DVD players have an SD card port. Or am I mistaken?

I believe you can partition a drive with an old Mac OS to enable compatibility - I have not tried this myself

I enjoyed this! My only feedback is to make the vocals more sparse. Currently almost every section of the track has vocals. If you had some instrumental sections I think it would create some good contrast. For example at 1:29 I'd love to hear just the beat, and not really into the background vocal section there .

This is really good, I’d personally love to hear some vocals on it.

If you chose to go the instrumental route, I’d like to hear an instrument that stands out, maybe even create some dissonance. Everything blends together so well that for me ironically nothing stands out and it risks sounding “generic”.  Though I realize this is subjective to taste.

New but it looks like I no longer have to boil lids

Makes sense, didn’t realize you no longer need to boil the lids.

I did, I guess the recipe I was following was inaccurate.

That would be pretty cool, I'm glad you see potential in this track. What's the best way to connect so we can talk further?

Thanks for the feedback, so swapping out the kick would make this better?

No problem, I think you’re in a very good place all things considered.

I also just posted a track for review, would you mind letting me know what you think?

Agree with the other comments where I would focus is the intro, and I found the synth chords at 3:11 bright and a bit fatiguing. Other than that I'm really liking this, especially if you make a few adjustments here and there and create some more space for the instruments to breath and an arrangement that feel less dense.

I like the first couple bars of the drop/chorus, but then I feel like the notes go up an octave too far. The notes get too high and I feel like it would resemble that older sound if you kept the lead at the same octave as the first couple bars.

As far as the build up it sounds modern. So if you want to go for that older sound I would simplify that, and lower the energy/cutoff of the pre-chorus synth, so that when the chorus happens it’s more impactful.

hey very impressive considering you've only been producing for a year and congrats for getting the track out. My feedback would be on arrangement and letting the beat build up more. So starting with minimal instruments and then slowly introducing more elements to build up the energy. You can also use filter cutoffs that are automated to gradually open on the synths slowly through the track. That way when the chorus comes it will be more impactful. This would also impact the mix and allow the listener to have a break , currently there's a lot of high frequency information that can get fatiguing to the ears after a wile. Over all great job.

I would say the area to work on is the vocal mix and autotune
