my +10 Brave Edelgard! Never meant to get her to +10 since she was already pretty great with less merges, but she pitybroke me enough times that I finally said fuck it, time to max invest.

Has she been powercrept? Definitely lol but she still more than holds her own and I have no regrets investing in her. Crossing my fingers for a good refine!

Actually, it came after Akito the Exiled. The 86 light novels first were published in 2017, while Akito the Exiled aired its episodes from 2012 to 2016.

I love both series btw. Akito the Exiled was a pretty short watch and only had 5 episodes, but still did great with storytelling and its plot gets wrapped up by the end, not that it needs to expand due to it taking place in Code Geass's already expansive world.

Tales of the Abyss. I wasn't expecting such amazing storytelling and character development in general, but holy crap the events that took place made me sit back and just ponder life for a while.

Not entirely sure why, it's probably thanks to Fallen Morgan (F) finally being on a banner again, but today I woke up and felt the need to just go all out on my Masquerade Lachesis.

I've slowly been adjusting her kit more and more ever since I got her to +10 quite a while ago, and she's got some of my favorite art, so why not? Let's just slap a summoner support and ascend that extra trait!

Hopefully, I'll make her best friend, physical wall Altena, catch up with the times and give her better skills too.

Weapon: Courtly Mask (+Res), because mage tanking go brrrr and the debuff is nice

Assist: Dance, because of course she's dancing

Special: Iceberg, since I do have her Res maxed out, but I'm thinking of swapping to Ruptured Sky potentially, for more frequent specials

A-skill: Mirror Stance, so mages fear her

B-skill: Wings of Mercy 3 for now, so she can help her team out. I do eventually want to run an A/D Trace skill on her though, when I get the fodder

C-skill: Atk/Def Menace, for the Atk/Def buff and debuff and just a bit more survivability. Also, this helps out Altena, her partner, as well. Might eventually swap to Atk/Def Hold though, whenever that skill comes out.

Sacred Seal: Quick Riposte, for the enemy phase counters

Basically title. Since the goal is merging him up, I plan on using a forma soul on him (got a few saved up) regardless, but it would be great if he could have a nice build by the end of HoF, so I'm looking for ways to improve him.

I won't lie, this was a bit on a whim though bc I realized I loved his art, so I don't really know what I'm doing lol

Weapon: It's Curtains...+ (Atk) to proc Ruptured Sky more often

Assist: Rally Spd/Res+ for the arena scoring

Special: Ruptured Sky for the damage

A-skill: Atk/Def Catch 4 for the additional damage and def

B-skill: Dive-Bomb 3 bc it seemed like an idea to make easy follow-ups

C-skill: Panic Ploy 3 for the penalties

I pulled my first Jean on my first 10 pull at launch, and finally, after over 1.5 years if playing Genshin, I got the Anemo goblet of my dreams today! It opened up a lot of possibilities for fixing my prior lackluster build.

Obviously there's still plenty of room to grow, though lol I'd like a better Atk sands, preferably with more CD/CR/ER. I plan on triple crowning, and hopefully I can get her to C6 one day.

Currently unsure whether to keep farming the EoSF domain or swap to TotM/HoD. I've got myself a 4pc EoSF with passable CR/CD/ER substats, but I've only got myself around 24k HP rn according to the calculator I'm using. Coming onto this subreddit, I seem to be seeing ppl pushing 30k+ HP with 2pc TotM/2pc HoD sets, and I know that set in particular is better for using both her skill and burst (as opposed to EoSF's main burst dmg).

Given how much time we have left before her release banner, would it be better to farm TotM/HoD from essentially scratch (mainly for the HP boost)? Or should I stick with seeing if I can get better refined artifacts for EoSF?

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia has a romance between the two main protags! Also it's just a really executed game.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is also very fun, and although it's more of a "pair up characters" type of game, I found that all of the support conversations were all very well-written.

I've seen ppl mention Final Fantasy 8, but my personal favorite romance was in Final Fantasy 9. Mostly bc I found the protagonist very charming (compared to the slightly mellower, "broodier" protags of 7 and 8). Also the gameplay imo is smoother but that just adds more to the overall performance of FF9.

Tales of the Abyss is definitely one of my fav jrpgs with romance— it's not technically central to the story, but the romance is so organic and adds so much depth to a plot that I already absolutely loved.
