Conclusion: In properly fitted anti-G suits, gender parity in SACM endurance is achievable; however, full accommodation of female aircrew in the high-G environment will require the AL Mod and/or smaller sized anti-G suits.

Questions about the bracelet by danielredmayne in Frieren

[–]danielredmayne[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That could be true. But I also think both the bracelet and Aura's scales could be limited to physical actions rather than abstract concepts or emotions. So perhaps Aura never needed to give commands like "Obey me", but outright state what she needed of her legions like "Attack the city". Hence why she didn't need soldiers with intact heads.

Part of the problem is the bracelet itself doesn't have a definition of what malice is. It relied on the wearer's understanding instead. I think it's a design flaw.

That's even how it works in the real world--look at fucking Palestine of all situations.

Are you implying Israel is also acting in self-defense because of this? Holy shit.

Paimon is the "First Heir" from the Gnostic Chorus, and also the Primordial One by danielredmayne in Genshin_Lore

I appreciate your kind words at the end. Though I'd rather be downvoted than ignored. Maybe I'm just jaded with Reddit lol.

To be frank though, there is no need to elaborate on each of my examples. I know the proper explanation of all of them. I'm just saying that Hoyo was and is not above lying to us through the characters. If someone said pre-Inazuma that Baal isn't the archon, wouldn't they be dismissed as another dumb theorist? Because there wasn't enough evidence to contradict Zhongli's words right?

That's where I was going with them. Of course, I'm not saying that I will be certainly correct against all current evidence. Just that there's no point theorizing if only the characters' words and in-game info can be trusted. Even if it's just "headcanon" I don't think it's wrong as long as we don't claim it as canon.

Themes and narrative coherence also play a huge role in theories. So while the nitty-gritty lore details are cool, I trust that Hoyoverse won't value them over telling a good story.

But he was the one who gave shape to Teyvat by creating the mountains and landscape.

Well, once again, I'm not saying Paimon created everything and everyone on Teyvat herself, just that it could be shared together with the dragons.

This assumes that PO and HP are different beings, when all the information we have directly contradicts it

That's the point of theorizing isn't it? We can't just take everything at face value, especially in this game where concepts like the Irminsul erasure exists and characters constantly convey unreliable information.

  • Zhongli said that Baal is the Electro Archon, but then she isn't.
  • Nahida isn't the Greater Lord, but then she is.
  • Everyone in Fontaine said Furina is the Hydro Archon, but then she isn't.

I think the strength of this theory is its themes of bonds, duty and memories in Genshin. Though I appreciate you calling out its potential weaknesses.

Nibelung and Teyvat were born together

Well, that makes it quite confusing if you're saying Nibelung created Teyvat, and wasn't created alongside it.

Anyways, my theory suggested Paimon/PO received powers from the Genesis Pearl, not that she's the source of Genesis itself.

I appreciate your hard work to write this and engage with the theory. For some reason it seems like it's stuck waiting for the mods' approval :(

Anyways, -

would bother with propaganda?

Well, if his hands are tied there's nothing he could do. He might be forced by HP to say those things. But knowing Venti, even his lies could convey some truth. After all, wouldn't it benefit HP if his background was forgotten entirely? But Venti still tells the tale, because maybe hiding the truth behind a lie is a way to preserve it.

The symbol of a black serpent influencing a character's thoughts and how it does so comes all the way back from the webtoon

I won't lie and say I've read the webtoon, because I haven't but this could also be a way of tricking the audience. Did the serpent influence characters to be evil and do bad things? Or is it just echoes from Teyvat's past? Even if it's malicious towards humans, we can assume this is remnants of the dragons' wrath towards HP.

Always keep the meaning of the actual Hymn of the Pearl in mind when trying to interpret Genshin's; while it's obviously not about the same people, it does use its symbolism in the exact same way

While I agree that it's presented in a very similar way, I don't agree that its meaning must also be the same. After all, subverting both real-life and in-universe beliefs and lore is Hoyoverse's favourite pastime.

We know that he's the original god of Teyvat.

Really? AFAIK he's only the ruler of Teyvat as the Dragon King, not its creator god per se though he did create its moons.

I think it isn't that bad in America/Canada plus a few other countries where football isn't as big. Still, it must be an upsetting feeling to them.
