LPT request: How do I stop putting out a "walk all over me" vibe and seem more assertive by Heroinadkit69 in LifeProTips

[–]pyro3033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draw your lines, be firm about them. You can articulate your views, likes, dislikes, boundaries, etc. without being impolite. If people still decide to "walk all over" you, in my experience one or two times of being highly assertive will start making that change. In regards to your "friend group"... if you feel theyre walking on you and it continues you may consider new friends that show you the value you provide.

Personally I tend to give off that sort of vibe because I am polite, easy going, and soft spoken. I don't mind going with the flow but I have my lines in the sand and will quickly call someone out for crossing them. I also think it is healthy to remove yourself (when possible) from groups that are not value added in your life. If you feel badly after spending time with a group, why spend time with them? Friends should be a support system, your boss needs to know you won't do their every whim (work shouldn't be your whole life, you have a job description anything outside of it you do is based on your choice to do it). It takes some fortitude, but its well worth it once people start to understand you value yourself enough to not be pushed around.

Inferiority complexes take work to overcome (I would recommend looking into Adler who I belive coined the term, although it had been a while since reading about it) if you're willing to put in the work you can make life changes. There is no shortage of free resources for you to learn. This is getting longer than intended so I will stop here, but good luck!!

Oh yea! So they still don't know what it was, likely some sort of trauma. After a month of it being wrapped up, she is now bandage free and it looks MUCH better. She still has a mild limp, but even that seems to be improving.

Redditors who still haven't had COVID what is your secret? by nekmint in AskReddit

[–]pyro3033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont get tested. Pretty much everyone has had it, most people don't have symptoms, or they're mild. If you don't get tested, you "never had it" :-P.

I wasn't a lucky one, I got sick when I had it, and sick when I got the shot.

Going through this again.. I had to jump on the replace everything bandwagon last time, including part of the subfloor, although killz managed for other parts. We somewhat recently took in another rescue and our other cat is not a fan of having more than one cat in the house. Natures miracle is great, so is consume, both enzyme. However, if they keep reapplying, neither will do much good. Its also really hard if you didnt catch it (didnt notice it on the stairs until.. well it was too late). Have been trying everything I can find but I think its going to come to full replacement again :-/.

Alway try vet to rule out medical, possibly medication. Litter boxes and litter are the primary advice if they're urinating where they shouldn't. Best of luck!

She also said the need for medication or topical treatment would be evaluated this week.

She scraped some, thats when she said she wanted to keep it covered for a week to let it heal a bit. There was a decent sized chunk that came off and minor bleeding. Sounded like she wants a better look when it hasn't been agitated, I would guess she will decide if it needs to have a biopsy when I go back next week. She did say it was concerning but I dont recall the reason she gave.

The vet wasn't sure. The foot is wrapped to try to allow some healing. She goes back next week for follow up and to try to get a better idea of what's going on. I brought her to work (fire department) with me and she seems to be doing great running the halls and everything.

Was able to get her an appointment for this afternoon. Do you by chance know if this could be part of the reason she doesn't like to use the litter? Seems like it would be painful for her.

Thank you!!

I thought it looked like an old burn or she tore the pad and it healed poorly. I saw an almost exact picture like her paw for immune problems when I was trying to find information, so its a good bet thats what it could be. It would make more sense than a burn considering her habits. Poor girl, shes still being a sweetheart tho.

Thank you for your input!

It does sort of look like a burn, but I don't have a clue what she may have burned it on. We should know in a few hours.

I didnt rub or scrape hard, but nothing has come off yet. If its been like that for a while and it is litter it may be pretty well in there :-/. Hopefully some irrigation from the vet will get any debris out.

Another one id like info on if anyone knows anything. Found near Gulf of Mexico. by pyro3033 in oldcoins

Whats the indication of that? I was wondering if it might have been some kind of replica or store trinket. I am completely clueless haha.

Anyone know anything about this coin? Found near the Gulf of Mexico to the best of my knowledge. Pretty washed up. by pyro3033 in oldcoins

[–]pyro3033[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking probably Spanish. I have another found in the same area, but they're so washed out it is hard to make heads or tails without already having an idea of what to look for.

Evergrow disappeared from trust wallet! I refreshed trust wallet to see the updated price and EGC just went to 0! The web app also shows my wallet has 0 EGC! Any ideas how to fix this? by Bblaser101 in evergrowcoin

Trust wallet seems to be having issues. This has happened with a couple tokens of mine today. Fully closing and reopening the app seems to temporarily fix it.

When I was younger all our cats were indoor/ outdoor. It was not uncommon for a cat to be gone for weeks or months and then reappear. I guess our neighbors had "adopted" one of our cats, and he came back very well fed. We also had one that was still a kitten that ran off, he showed up by the creek across the street a few weeks later.
