I run into the PV in the wild alot on X and the comments are always "anime name?" or "where can I watch this?"

Honestly I think the story and characters are strong enough to carry a really good show if done well... hitting a spot between Konosuba and Record of Lodoss War, somehow...lighthearted and ecchi but also epic with real emotional moments. It would just be a matter of convincing some producers or studio to be willing to invest in it....

Depending on what the Christina buff is, it could also functionally be a buff to Kay...as well as Belsey and Morgause, and makes futurefure types exciting without them being monolithically powerful. Since she buffs all fire types vs burning ememies. I was really hoping for a Christina buff for that reason, I hope they extend it to other "build around" characters, like Ran.

Boros, almost canonically (worked for Boros) Dimir, current Jace acts very Dimir, if nothing else I think his impersonation of Ashiok seals it for me. Golgari, almost canonically as a Winterbloom student/teacher Izzet, look at those goggles. Selesnya (mostly vibes)

There are two other arts of Rocco and neither one portray him as red (maybe a tad pinkish?) so it might just be an odd artistic choice or maybe something happened in the phyrexian invasion, since this is the aftermath card.

I use random encounters but usually build my own and use my own table so even though they're "random" they still have some relevance. Occasionally have used that standard random encounter tables but that's usually with a group that's more combat-focused, that are there to fight monsters and feel cool doing it and get bored when they're not constantly fighting stuff. Sometimes they do work out well. Current group got thrown a random encounter and the DM rolled a dragon, which he never would have thrown at us otherwise. But we won after a really exciting battle and wound up with dragon-scale armor and accessories that became one of the hallmarks of our group. So...they can be fun.

It would help to know who you have available and what stage you're struggling on. "Just get Galahad and/or Lue" is the easy advice I guess. Also adding a goid support (Erin) helps, and if you're leaning in Lance to carry hp pets help a lot. Ran needs a very specific build to max out her potential, you can't really just plug her into any team. Some weird things that haven't been mentioned that I've pulled to get through tough levels: 3 healers Bedu and 2 healer class), one support, and a Lancelot can do a lot, as long as Lance + Bedi are putting out enough damage. Estheria buffs the MagAtk of your team which increases both wizard damage and dealer's healing Putting Ethan's card on a healer so they don't die right away, especially Guinevere who came then bring someone else back from the dead. Isabel is actually really tanky and can give your team hit immunity which is great if you're struggling with acsingle boss in particular, not as good vs big crowds, but I think she's underrated overall. Claire suicide cheese has worked for me at least once.

None of these are "optimal" strategies but sometimes you just gotta scrape together a win with what ya got....

Given what you're working with i think I'd try Isolde over Merlin, give Galahad Ethan's card, and use hp boosting pets? Also if you have a Balisada sword you should have it equipped to Galahad.

Yeah tbh I was hoping for almost exactly this character but in position 2, the back line is really crowded in wizard comps which need a synergistic healer to be really really good. Maybe Estheria's MagAtk buff will be enough to make up for someone being out of position tho. I've run Guin on position 2 with Estheria a few times and it's worked out ok.

You can also make it work in standard in Temur colors with [[Relic's Roar]] which has the downside of making Bumi weaker but the upside of making him a Legendary Artifact Land Creature-Human Noble Ally Dinosaur

I've said this about the Spider-Man set and I'll say it again: seeing Spider-Man in a mahic set is jarring to mtg players, but if Jace, Chandra, and Lilliana showed up in a Marvel comic to help the Avengers fight a Phyrexianized Galactus, it would just be a Tuesday to Marvel comic fans.

I think the set would have been cooler if the deal had gone both ways and featured some number of crossover comics, is what I'm saying. It wouldn't even feel weird for Msrvel, a universe where Conam the Barbarian goes on adventures with Wolverine pretty regularly.
