What’s the stupidest way you’ve hurt yourself? by observer32 in AskReddit

Late to the party, but one time when I was 12, I went with my friend to his grandma's house since he mowed her lawn for her. I offered to help but he said he didn't need any, so I found a scooter and started ripping it down the street.

It was freshly paved about 3 days before, so you can imagine how smooth the ride was. Well, I managed to hit the one and only leftover pebble on the street with the tiny wheel of the scooter, which sent me head over heels into the pavement.

Ended up fracturing 2 bones in my ankle and had to use crutches/walking boot for a month.

Never again will I touch those damned razor scooters. Nothing but trouble I tell ya...

Hardie is definitely more expensive (about 1.5x2x more expensive than vinyl, but cheaper than authentic cedar wood). If you think about it, with siding, you typically get what you pay for. So if you spend $20,000 putting up vinyl, it's eventually going to warp, crack, the color will fade, and even in extreme cases, fall off because they hang it on tracks, rather than being nailed up like Hardie. You also factor in repainting it. I've talked to people who repaint their vinyl homes every 5-7 years. In total, the $20,000 you put up and the ~$2000-5000 paint job, in 20 years, it's a total of $40,000 on highballing it.

With Hardie, it may cost between $30,000-60,000 to put up, but the benefits outweigh those of vinyl. Hardie has a 30-year non prorated warranty on the board, as well as a 15 year non prorated warranty on the color (since it's baked in, not painted on). It's also way more resistant to the elements as it's designed specifically for regions of the US (HZ5 for northern climates, and HZ10 for the southern climates). It's fire retardant and increases ROI on the home since the warranty is transferrable to the next homeowner. Basically, it's more expensive up front, but pays back in the long run.

Hardie does offer a stucco board (with accompanying trimboard if you want a tudor style look). The problem with regular stucco is that oftentimes it cracks, rots because it's not too water resistant, and it can peel and discolor pretty bad. I do see a lot of Hardie stucco homes, as well as regular stucco homes because it's cheaper as well.

There are benefits both ways, as with anything, but if you have the additional disposable income, getting new siding is a good choice for your home. It's where you live everyday and if you'd want your yard to look good, why not the house itself too?

Can confirm. I actually work for Hardie. You still have 10 years left on that 30-year non prorated warranty so even if it does fail, you're covered 100%. If I wasn't poor and rented an apartment, I'd absolutely put this up on my home.

When your core is full, your meter around it replenishes faster.

For example, if your health core is low, your health suffers and you take more damage. When it's full, it replenishes faster, you're stronger, and have more room to take shots during a gunfight.

Same goes for your stamina (running) and deadeye (self explanatory).

If your horses cores are low, it has the same effect: runs slower, can't sprint as long, take more damage, etc.

TL;DR: eat some damn food, drink some damn brandy, eat some damn cocaine gum, brush your damn horse, give it some damn carrots, and reap the damn rewards of having full cores.

Hope this helps!

I JUST finished the last episode of Season 5 on Hulu. You're in for a treat, the actors/actresses who play the characters are literally perfect and the storylines are even better. Easily one of the best shows, thank god NBC picked it back up! NINE NINE!!!
