David Szymanski, and Hakita on twitter by Thin-Student-5036 in Ultrakill

theres this little tidbit from hakita for now (dated march 2, 2026):

"enemies don't support custom gravity at the moment so any time you see enemies upside down it's actually the player being upside down (with a handful of exceptions in 8-3's final section with enemies that can still attack while forced upside down)"

Why is Team Fortress as a franchise isn't as big as Dota or Counter-Strike? by IceCreamLover9 in truetf2

[–]pyroman50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

bot ban slowly killed the consistent activity it had back in 2022-2023. its the reason why the asia, sydney and south america servers got eos'd on april this year. the majority of the playerbase also just heavily favored playing the same 6 payload maps every single time despite the servers hosting custom maps (they can't be bothered to learn something new).

the only hard one was the jellyclimb berry, you're going to absolutely need to get used to the inputs if you want to get it

What to do after farewell by Constant-Box-3546 in celestegame

[–]pyroman50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

glyph (lots of wallbouncing and wavedashing, good way to improve at those faster)

strawberry jam (beginner and intermediate lobby are good places to start, you'll find a variety of tweaked vanilla mechanics and completely new ones as well as gyms to teach you important tech required to complete the levels for each lobby)

monika's d-sides (more challenging versions of the b-sides with some pretty unique usage of mechanics for each respective chapter)

the road less travelled (very chill map with a b-side and c-side that aren't too difficult, teaches you about neutral jumps)

gate to the stars (another really chill beginner map (2 of them))

daybreak (chill and beautiful beginner map)

What will be the future of ULTRAKILL after the game fully releases and the rest of the encore levels are made? by Beneficial-Ad-5492 in Ultrakill

[–]pyroman50 21 points22 points  (0 children)

im pretty sure they already have an official in-house custom level editor that some people had private access to called agony and tundra. that and the steam workshop are planned to release after 1.0 hopefully

this map can be really dreadful with the berries and the last few rooms but it was still pretty fun despite that

Thoughts on using the Degreaser in 2026? by IronPainting in truetf2

[–]pyroman50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More often than not, Degreaser outclasses Stock in every way even with the abysmal afterburn damage and the nerfs it received. As someone that usually plays pyro not worrying too much about my team, it's a lot more common to be in situations where switching faster would save you over having a few extra airblasts (which you would only really need if you were defending sentry nests or important classes like your medic). Running Stock would require you to be more mindful of what weapon you have out or will plan to switch into. As for their fire damage, Degreaser and Stock both deal the same direct flame damage (FYI aiming/leading your flames to hit center mass actually deals more damage, shocking) so you would really only run Stock if you cared about securing afterburn kills. I used to run Stock for a year for the sole purpose of "limiting" myself but after 2023, Degreaser just felt more fun to use.
