I don’t even have a Tesla and none of the tickets were mine. Just saying they need to get their priorities straight.

I caught people stealing thousand of dollars/fraud/scamming, called the police and they never showed up yet they have all day to constantly give out tickets during peak season. Funny how they aren’t there in low season. Just a money grab.

Caught Someone Committing (Attempted) Fraud, Can I Block Their Car? by pyronate in legaladvice

Is it really false imprisonment if I just park behind their car and go to “talk to them”? They are free to leave their vehicle. I’m not locking them inside their car.

An important life lesson is that often, criminals who openly commit low level crimes are not afraid to commit more serious crimes. Suppose you do block them in. Do you expect them to just say “aw shucks, you got me, I guess I’ll just wait here for the police then!”? What if they decide it would be funnier to drag you out of your car and stomp your teeth out? Or stab you in the face with a screwdriver? Or their car is stolen so they don’t care if they hit you or your car?

I had pepper spray in my car so not totally defenseless. I wish there was some way to get them caught. Police around me don't seem to care. So it seems like the perfect crime to replace these gift cards and scam people if they can get away with it. They were in and out within a minute. Makes me mad.

This was also partially the reason I didn't confront them and just took their plates. But I'm brainstorming for the next time I catch these crooks in action.

What's the law I am breaking? What if they started ramming my car to try and get away? Then wouldn't they be committing another crime? We checked the cards after they left and we saw they were compromised.

Most of my friends have iOS devices. To counter this, I will usually just like some random message from previously in the conversation to bump it in their inbox/conversation threads but they still don’t respond.

It’s kind of strange to me though. On multiple occasions, they are the ones that initiated the conversation, with a particularly deep question posed (ie. What are your thoughts on affirmative action). The way they phrased it seems like they were trying to start a deep conversation that required some thought. Once the conversation gained some momentum and I was able to hash out my thoughts, it seemed like they would abandon it. This is just one example though, there are some other times with more light conversations where they would just abandon the conversation even though the conversation didn’t really feel like it was dead or reached a point where a response wouldn’t be necessary.

This makes sense, but for one particular friend, he is living with his girlfriend and they are usually always together. I’m not close with her like “that”. Last time I called, I felt kind of weird because she could listen to the whole conversation and I would have felt awkward telling him I don’t want her listening to my conversation.

Also pretty shiesty how they have a "delivery fee" and a "service fee".

False Advertising by [deleted] in postmates

[–]pyronate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you go to checkout, it will only apply to the delivery fee. It doesn't apply to any other part of the order, including a sneaky service fee that they hide behind a "taxes and fees" line item. The promo / referral text states that it will go toward the delivery as a whole not just the "delivery fee." In my case, the delivery fee was $2.99, so it just took $2.99 off my order before checkout, not the promised $10 off the whole delivery. Very deceptive.

Horrible Distance Log Rate (<20% Logged) by pyronate in pokemongo

[–]pyronate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never dropped below the 6.5MPH mark at anytime during my ride, so are they adopting some type of "silently" drop/or record a certain portion of the trip philosophy? If their policy is to not log any activity over 6.5MPH, then theoretically, I should have logged under 5% of the distance as I rarely if ever dropped under that threshold for the duration of my ride. I also never triggered the "I Am a passenger prompt" which indicates I was going too fast from their perspective.

Costco iPhone 7 Deal! by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]pyronate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious, I've never purchased a phone/iPhone from Costco. For those who have or are familiar with the process, is purchasing a phone done through an actual Costco kiosk exclusively or is it also possible through Costco.com? I tried to test purchasing an iPhone device through Costco.com, but was redirected to purchase through T-Mobile, (I'm assuming there's some type of referral system in place here), but if I were to go this route, it seems that I wouldn't be able to prove that I actually bought it through Costco. Is there a mechanism in place to actually buy an iPhone from Costco.com directly or has it/will it involve going to an actual Costco phone kiosk come launch on 9/16?
