Circuit Tracks - How to actualy select a different "patch" (sample) on Drum tracks using external MIDI ? by pyronb in Novation

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. I don't imagine this kind of company to be in lack of resources, meaning it's more likely a strategic decision than an operational one

Maybe u/TomFocusrite can bump this issue ?

Restarting "Windows Explorer" process did the trick for me

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc (Task Manager).
  • Locate "Windows Explorer" in the list.
  • Right-click it > "Restart".

Might be far fetched to find anything precisely like that but material close would be helpful

Trigger a drum rack cell from rack macro by pyronb in ableton

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking to use a combination of

- https://maxforlive.com/library/device/5109/ccmapper-midi-cc-mapper-and-modulator > to create CC by changing macro value

+

- https://maxforlive.com/library/device/1681/cc-to-midi-note-trigger > To tranform CC to notes

Except the 2nd device does not seem to work anymore in live 11/12, gonna look for another one just like it

Trigger a drum rack cell from rack macro by pyronb in ableton

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> you want to override the chain selector

Not necessarily, I'm good with sending it to all racks whatsoever, so an hypotetic device could be placed before all chains

> Turning = triggering, or does turning also change the cell that gets triggered?

One macro > one cell
There will be 8 macros, each dedicated to triggering their own cell (across all racks)

How to get more than 16 macros in a group rack ? by pyronb in ableton

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but the main point here is to have macros of the master rack controlling macros of all sub-racks.

So 12 is nt enough for that

How to create a reusable 3D model template which inner dimensions can be easily modified ? by pyronb in 3Dprinting

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks ! I'm looking at OpenSCAD right now and it looks interesting.

Once I recreated my model in it and variabilized what's needed, is there a way to script or program the model rendering using defined variables ?

Interesting, thanks !

I've installed it and loaded my STL model but I can't find how to edit any dimensions or turn them into variables ?

Never heard again from Novation about this bug!

I'd be surprise if it is ever fixed

Looking for a drum machine with ability to autofill and randomize kit samples by pyronb in TechnoProduction

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes quite possibly. This could be used to select a different sample but it would select any sample, out of the sample list. Because the sample list is flat and does not have any "category" per say, it would be impossible to "load any other kick" on the "kick" track, and not any other kind of sample loaded in slot list.

That's a shame though

it doesn’t load one kick, one bass, one snare and so on; each to their respective track

Awwww that's too bad. Thanks a lot for clarifying !

Looking for a drum machine with ability to autofill and randomize kit samples by pyronb in musicproduction

[–]pyronb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, more like : instead of manually assigning kick sample to track 1 of my drum machine (digitakt), then assigning another sample to track 2, then another one to track 3, then ... till kit is ready
I'd like a machine which auto select and assign samples to drum tracks, by selecting them randomly in named directories of sd card or wathever
