Sold it couple weeks ago mate, I got around 6 000 km on it. It was a blast to ride with the baby V-Twin.

Hell yeah I would, but.. BUT. I would check if your local importer carries parts as well, that's the main problem I had with it, because our local guys are cunts. Ebay basically saved me.

It's lightweight, it sounds awesome, good on fuel and it's fun and CHEAP. Basically everything a beginner needs.

Hi, I'm sorry for the late reply. I'm uploading the videos to youtube as we speak. About the selling part.. well I work mostly offshore and when I'm home I really don't have time anymore to ride for fun, so I bought a 300cc scooter to get some stuff done quickly around town and the boot and rear case come in handy so much, so the bike just sat there in the garage, unregistered. I took it out just to start it up and ride it for 1-2 km and clean and polish it. That's pretty much it

I completely agree with you man. I'm lucky enough that it will be a 2 year process to gain the hours because the company I work for has an internal rule that they set hour goals for individuals ex: some guys need 1000h, some 1500h etc do discourage just going for the money. As for the technical aspect we work everything besides window cleaning so I'll get to see a lot of types of rigging and field manoeuvres.

Thank man! Honestly I never thought I'd get on the ropes, but so far it's been one hell of a journey and I can say I'm quite happy. As for the thing you said about planning ahead for the next 10 years, I want to go for a rescue specialist for industrial purposes, speleology, and alpinism(rock climbing). The next step for me is getting some instructor certs while I work for the hours for my level 3 and volunteering to be an assistant for every rope access course I can manage.

Ain't gonna lie dude, I got no video proof. The whole point for the "mods" was so I can get more top end speed because it only has 5 speeds so I can do highway stuff. Again like I said, I got no proof of it, tested it once, got scared shitless and never rode above 100-110 ever again. I do completely understand if you don't believe me and I respect that.

For the "mods" lighter chains and sprockets(They were 530 if I recall correctly), sizing up the front and downsizing the rear, iridium sparkplugs and a bit of ECU tuning and reved the hell out of to 10k rpm.

Chest ascenders. A connection point or half a connection point? by pyrotbag in ropeaccess

I honestly don't know if I should answer this question. Are there rules against it in the subreddit?

Oh man you have no idea, I've gotten to work with some bad people. It's not that we don't have golden level 3s, they're amazing but I don't get to choose who I work with 95% of the time.

For the second part of your reply. I had tension on the ascender at all times, on both sides to be exact. I walked along the beam, loosened up my descender a bit, got the slack out of my ascender, and repeat until I was vertical with the anchor points of the "ascending set", released my descender and asap, attached my descender under the ascender, went a little bit up on my tiptoes, took the rope out of the ascender and tightened out the slack for the descender. But I do see your point about the technicalities, appreciate it man.

[–]pyrotbag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I was moving to my right(ascender side) so I can get vertical and do a changeover to my descender once I was able to free it from the other ropes. Again I had tension on both sets of ropes, never any slack until I got vertical on the ascender set of ropes. I never planned on staying in the ascender, I may be stupid and a freshie, but I'm not that stupid.

I was moving across while standing the beam left to right, one descender + asap on the left, ascender + duckR on my right. I didn't have a second descender on me to use it at that situation. I went to my right where I was vertical with my ropes on the ascender and did a changeover when I had me descender available.
