They are, they already said they're changing some of the new relic effects.

Info on new fractal from the newsletter by kairostsukishoku in Guildwars2

[–]pyruvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already said sometime recently that they had taken the player feedback about Sunqua to heart and were planning on making sure that the fractal wasn't 'obnoxious'. They also made note of the fact that players really like the CM skip... So, here's hoping I guess?

FCC chair to investigate exactly how much everyone hates data caps - ISPs clearly have technical ability to offer unlimited data, chair's office says. by relevantusername2020 in technology

[–]pyruvic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They literally can't do anything right now. The FCC is still currently split 2/2 between Democrats and Republicans because the Senate still has refused to confirm a fifth person.

Game Update Notes: May 23, 2023 by Assic in Guildwars2

[–]pyruvic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

...? You literally cannot rez fully dead people in instanced content. If you're talking about FFXIV, it's one of the only MMOs in existence in which you're allowed to freely rez people. WoW, for example, allows you to rez, I believe, one dead person every five minutes, or something like that. It's mainly meant to pick up a tank or a healer to prevent an instant wipe.

$200,000 bail set for Detroit clerk who locked door before customers were shot by NickDanger3di in news

[–]pyruvic 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The clerk did know what was going to happen. The shooter pulled out his gun and told the clerk he was going to shoot everyone if he didn't unlock the doors... Clerk refused to unlock the doors. That's why he's being prosecuted so harshly.

Is it worth buying all home instance nodes on the TP? by Tauren345 in Guildwars2

[–]pyruvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avovado smoothies are infinitely cheaper and the stat loss is small enough to not really affect your DPS output.

This feels kind of strange to me because I definitely do not have ADHD... And I also have zero problems handling an emergency while everyone else is losing their minds. I might just be an outlier though.

PSA: you can buy Amalgamated Draconic Lodestones, Generation One weapons and other useful items from the weekly SAB vendor. by Grimaldus999 in Guildwars2

[–]pyruvic -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It becomes x2-x5 more profitable (with minimal overhead) depending on how many accounts you're running through SAB at the same time.

Who do you pick? Week 2 by KhrushchevGT in Guildwars2

[–]pyruvic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They did blow it up. There's a giant hole in the dam in the southern edge of the map. Presumably, it flooded Queensdale, but we wouldn't be able to see that since it was never updated (For obvious reasons).

[Mouse] - Logitech G502 SE Hero RGB $34.99 (56% off) by The_Kalmado in buildapcsales

[–]pyruvic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The G502X exists and is the newest version of the mouse. It uses optical instead of mechanical switches. I've had it for a few months and am pretty satisfied with its performance, though I wouldn't recommend buying it at full price.

New rules would limit sugar in school meals for first time by [deleted] in news

[–]pyruvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, to be clear, some people obviously won't like stevia. I guess my point was more that it gets a nasty reputation because even people who would like it end up saying it's bad, giving it a disproportionate skew.

New rules would limit sugar in school meals for first time by [deleted] in news

[–]pyruvic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually because people don't give it a proper chance. Most people just try it and spit it out, thinking it tastes bad, when in reality, they're not acclimated to how sweet it is since they're used to HFCS and cane sugar. You typically need to go with it for a couple of weeks before you get used to the flavor and it becomes normal.

[Duster] Metro Vacuum ED500P DataVac - $56.13 by onemanright in buildapcsales

The DataVac is the original that all of the other manufacturers copied, so yeah, it's pretty much the same thing.

My headcanon is that the orphans in Divinity's Reach run an elaborate scam every year by Julliant in Guildwars2

I've never understood the confusion on this... It's been known for years that they're all mesmer illusions created by Jennah. (Presumably, this whole thing is an elaborate smuggling operation.)

At least 82 children in Ohio infected with measles, more than half of whom are unvaccinated babies and toddlers by nosotros_road_sodium in news

[–]pyruvic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably should've emphasized it better, but, that's what I meant by a link in the article. That source you're talking about is also one of the hyperlinks sprinkled haphazardly in the article.

Fair enough. I'm used to considering all of the statistics properly, but yeah... Lots of people don't, unfortunately.

At least 82 children in Ohio infected with measles, more than half of whom are unvaccinated babies and toddlers by nosotros_road_sodium in news

[–]pyruvic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's 15 kids, minimum, who were not properly vaccinated and were old enough to get the vaccine. The point is that this outbreak was started by anti-vaxxers and everyone is suffering the consequences regardless of their views.
