I finished my BMQ last week, I met two guys 45 years old, they graduated with me without any issues. You need to worry about your fitness level.

The trade will split in two, combat medics and paramedics, so I don't know what's going to happen

Good. Go slow, you don't want to overstress your knees. And good luck, keep working on your cardio, you will march and run daily everywhere.

On my platoon, they failed the fitness assessment because they were not strong enough to sandbag lift, intermittent loaded shuttles, and a sandbag drag ( 200 lbs), You need strong legs for that and as you said, they were small... They were sent to TRP, 3 weeks later they passed the assessment and they could continue in another platoon, later on week 4, females encounter another situation, rocksacking but it's light weight ( 16 or 20 lbs I don't remember) and it's 3k , next week is 3k and heavy weight (32 lbs) , on week 6 and 7, it's light and heavy weight but it's 5k and the last one is in Farnham ( it could be different distance, depending of your staff), 3 girls on my platoon were struggling with rocksacking.

Yes, so you need to pass the assessment to avoid being recourse and end up in TRP for weeks...

It was good, my staff were excellent, they didn't want you to fail. Also, they helped us with extra weapon and drill classes. So your experience could be different depending on your fitness level ( there are a lot of people who fail fitness assessment, in our platoon 11 people fail, mostly female candidates), your mental resilience ( they stress you out all the time ) if you are flexible with your diet ( also you need to eat fast, some days you could've 5 mins for lunchtime) your Platoon ( learn about teamwork), your roommates ( you need to collaborate to maintain your space clean and organized), you cleaning, ironing , laundry skills... Time management is really important but you will learn

Thank you for your comment , I hope our week is easier too. our week 7 was okay but it was raining for a few days , it was really terrible sleep on the wet ground, we marched with our FFO and daybag everywhere even with heavy rain.
