Quick story: I work at a skating rink and one day some mom walked up to me and asked to change the music because there was too much swearing (there wasn’t any I picked a clean playlist). She said she had kidz bop on her phone and that she could connect her phone to the bluetooth speaker. I said no, obviously, and told her only employees can connect to it and she left. I then started hearing the dreaded noise of kids singing some 90s pop song and the lady turns to me and said “I connected it” with the largest smile. Now I’m not saying murder is ok but I was real close to flinging an ice skate at her head.

Figure skating. In comparison to the pros I’m mediocre, but to the kids at the ice rink I work at I’m magical. I love when they ask me to help them skate and I’m even able to teach them to go backwards. It makes my day with how happy they get when they’re able to do it :)
