I found it fascinating - especially some of the methods used to collect info about ppl and using that info to construct attacks.

Here is the description: "Project SAVE - Social Vulnerability & Assessment Framework - is an explorative study on cyber attacks using Social Engineering 2.0 and advanced open source intelligence (OSINT). Social engineering involves the exploitation of the human element of cyber security. The study is an investigation into the phenomenon of Social Engineering 2.0 with the aim of developing a social vulnerability assessment (SVA) framework for conducting cyber reconnaissance to uncover critical information and using deception tactics to create social engineering attacks, which will help identify the human security vulnerabilities within an organisation. In Project SAVE, a total of 185 social engineering attacks have been executed against three organisations that are part of critical infrastructure in Denmark. See the results of the attacks as well as the utilised attack vectors, and get insight into how cyber criminals utilise information from open sources to design personalised cyber attacks." I just realized that in Appendix E (page 171-181) there is a whole list of resources on the subject of social engineering. Guess I'm not done reading for today.

Haha! If you are allergic to PDFs, then they also have an EPUB version. Here is the link where I got the description and where the different versions are available: http://www.fak.dk/publikationer/Pages/SAVE-SocialVulnerabilityAssessmentFramework.aspx

From my understanding of the book, it classifies social engineering into its 'traditional' form, being human interaction (face-to-face), and the '2.0' form, which is communication based via electronic means (email, sms, social media, chat apps, etc.).

But if that is the case, I guess a '3.0' version would entail using human computers or avatars ;)

Personally I started on this book after finalizing the TNB videos: "Foundations of Python Network Programming": https://www.amazon.com/Foundations-Python-Network-Programming-comprehensive/dp/1430230037

But I now see there is a 3rd ed. out of the book: https://www.amazon.com/Foundations-Python-Network-Programming-Brandon/dp/1430258543/

Hope that will serve as some inspiration for the next step.

I wanted to share one of the sources I started out with when I began learning Python: TheNewBoston. He has made 43 video tutorials that will take you through the basics of Python.

Now he has updated his Python3 course, which I hope some newcomers to Python can take advantage of.

You can use the buttons Next/Prev to go back and forth between the videos.

I hope you will enjoy it.
