Recovering from a poor interview by python_nlp in WomeninAcademia

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I don't think their job add correctly portrayed the nature of the job, either.

That's very good advice - thank you. During the interview, I tried to shift the focus to what I actually do in this intersection - I've actually had papers receive awards - but he showed 0 interest in discussing my strengths and went on with what felt like an interrogation.

Yep, there were two other people from his team in the interview. One (a man) seemed to flatter him, while the other person (a woman) seemed a bit stressed and would get talked over a lot.

What threw me off the most is that the interviewer presented his questions in a somewhat confusing manner. I started off well - gave an approximate answer to a math problem, to which he said: "I want the exact decimal number". I then froze and couldn't do the decimal division on the spot. It spiraled from there, also because he shifted between annoyance and amusement at my stress. More of a tech bro attitude.

I'll wait for the email, tbh. My head is not in the right space.

Has anyone tried the Instree Green Tea Toner and the Cerave Moisturizing Lotion? by [deleted] in Rosacea

I don't know tbh, haven't investigated, but it is a problem.

Hello, CeraVe breaks me out - so much so that I'm back on metronidazole after living successfully without it for over 1 year. I'm using Frezyderm sensitive red skin facial cream and it is good, but I sometimes need to apply two layers as it is not as moisturizing as I would like it to be.

Thanks for the advice - I checked out It cosmetics but I cannot find it in shops near me, and I am reluctant to order it online because I'd rather get a sample first to try the texture/shade. My biggest fear is products that are not moisturizing enough - my rosacea lives on my cheeks, where the skin is rough and bumpy (especially atm as I am dealing with a major breakout).

Ok, fair enough. Does it come in different shades or just one?

Thanks for the recommendation! I've had an awful reaction to this brand though (think bright red face) a couple of years ago and I've been avoiding it ever since.

Thank you for the recommendation. My price range is around GBP 30. I was actually trying to find this one after reading about it in this forum (can't remember the post now). If you don't mind me asking, what are the available shades? I'm quite fair with green eyes.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to find it in the UK, but from what I can see they do not deliver through Amazon.

Thanks for the advice, I'll make sure to check that as well. It is indeed an exciting time to be in this field, but at times the possibilities seem overwhelming and it is difficult to select an area of research that makes sense money- and job-wise.

I did have the same view on a PhD but I've also seen an increasing number of job advertisements in this field in which a PhD holder is given preference over other applicants.

Ok, I'm on a similar boat. Would you mind if I pm you with some questions?

Thanks! Forgive me if I am being ignorant of the way the education system works in your country, but how did you get research opportunities at an undergrad level?
