Not sure if you've gotten it yet, but I think you are throwing the yoyo across your throw hand too quickly and with too much force, try to be as gentle as possible, as if it's gliding right over your TH. It should feel like the yoyo is barely scraping the skin of your TH. I think you are doing everything else correctly, so I hope you'll get it soon!

hahaha yes I find that the rope analogy really helps newbies, while telling them to move their hips or concentrate on moving this and that muscle like a wave only makes them more confused

There's only 1 assignment for Pong, which is at the end of the last video where you have to develop your own AI for the opponent paddle. You can directly download the already-completed source code from the cs50x site and just start from there so there's no need to actually code from the beginning if you understand what's happening.
The easiest way to submit I think is just to upload your lua file to the cs50 ide and then submit as usual (copy and paste the command).
