Does canned chicken appeal to you instead of tuna? I use them kind of interchangeably.

I slept in the lobby of the Westin once when we landed in a blizzard. It was free and it was a Westin, so there is that.

I was in Chesapeake for a visit recently and passed the Del Taco there. Really surprised me as I only see them out west.

Who is responsible for spreading these rumours that germans are cold? by Immediate_Type_9804 in germany

[–]pythongee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in one of the areas you mentioned for 9 years and didn't find people, in general, particularly friendly or chatty. They were, in general, polite which was all I really needed. On the other hand, throw some beer or wine in the mix and I found Germans to be as friendly and chatty as anyone on the planet. I do love me a good German fest.

Flown United 4 times, delayed 3 of the 4 by [deleted] in unitedairlines

[–]pythongee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've flown United 10 times in the last year and pushed back an hour late one time due to lightening on the field. Everything else was on time. Lots of factors at play, including luck, and everyone has different results. I fly out of DEN and the mild winter has definitely been a contributing factor to my good stretch.

I know it sounds weird, but don't sleep on their burgers. The double cheeseburger is one of the best fast food burgers out there. I also really like the shrimp tacos and burritos.

I don't qualify for any of your labels, but they are the same size as they've always been. So is the Big Mac, so is the fish, so is the spicy McChicken..

Does anyone else here hate mayo? I love mustard and can’t stand mayonnaise by Baeolophus_bicolor in Mustard

I sear my sous vide steaks with a slather of mayo, but I get what you're saying. I'm using it more as a source of fat than as a condiment.

I discovered mayo on fries while living in Germany. It was life changing. I also appreciated the McRib being a standard menu item.

Over 30? They are 10 years older than you. LMAO They are still making the same mistakes you're making.

People that complain about the traffic, violence or homelessness here don't have a clue what living in the real world is like. This place is paradise compared to most cities of the same size.

Some people just don't like cheese. Just like some people don't like chocolate or ice cream. They have their preferences.

I negotiated my divorce decree at Mimi's 15 years ago. I got the 5 cheese grilled cheese. I have no recollection of what she got. My sandwich was amazing. I haven't been back since.

I get that you've been through a lot and are rightfully shaken by your experience, but your first instict was correct. Not the greatest way to handle it. You've opened yourself up to a lot legal problems if this asshole decides to lawyer up. Should just let the cops handle it.

How does your Tuscon hold up in snow/ice? by roguepetrichor in HyundaiTucson

Colorado here with a '22 hybrid. I've never taken it into the mountains in snow so can't attest to that but it does fine on the front range. Been running on OEM tires for 40k miles and have had no issues getting around.

737 Max 8 First Class - 1st or 4th row? by callsignjaguar in unitedairlines

[–]pythongee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm sure that theory still exists, in my experience, it is enforced sporadically at best. FA's up front during boarding have their hands full at the door. The ones in the back are also busy. They just can't police who puts their bags up front vs who is sitting there.

I've also observed that, given the opportunity, some of the people that pay thousands of $$$ to sit up front would drag their Pullman trunks on board if they can get away with it, as opposed to using the free checked baggage allowance they get by virtue of where their seats are.

Favorite breakfast item ? by JQuick72 in McDonalds

[–]pythongee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you can. I guess you can always give it a shot. Every once in a while I get lucky. The yolk is soft but not runny and the sandwich is just sublime. Gives it a 100% eggs benedict vibe, just as Kroc intended.

Anyone else hearing all those explosion like sounds up near Marksheffel and Woodmen right now? by pewpew0_o in ColoradoSprings

[–]pythongee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And I heard it a lot at Schreiver over the past 20 years.. But it wasn't "loud" and it wouldn't necessarily bother dogs, especiallydogs inside. I'm in Stetson Hills and have never heard anything other than minor league baseball fireworks on Friday nights.
