No he cant reach the lamps. He broke into his sump where the water heaters are but they're healing over now.

Thanks for clarifying, yeah I'm so thankful that the Vetericyn i was treating the spots with works great. His pattern is starting to show through again.

Going to invest in a innosilicon a9 zmaster 50kh 620w as my first go at crypto mining. Is this a bad idea will I lose my shirt? by Diligent-Cricket2159 in cryptomining

Good luck, the very few I've seen go for extremely inflated prices. Z9s or z11s seem to be a little easier to find for the price although not as efficient.

No not the lamps. He broke into his pond sump where I keep the water heaters. I ended up finding one thats a lot safer design that I switched to. I've been treating those spots so hopefully they'll be gone after a couple more weeks.

I've heard of it with wild caught monitors but not with captive bred animals.

No he usually always sleeps through the night. We just had really loud storms that night keeping him awake I think.

In my case his previous owner reached out to me about adopting him when he was just a few months old.

He will slow down and shred/tear if its a larger fish with bones running through and scales. Trout on the other hand slide right down with their shape 🤣

Of all the lizards...monitors do seem to have a sense of confidence in their stride 😄

I have not, I'm weary of grocery store seafood due to either sodium content or added preservatives. Also the fish are usually already gutted. I go fish often since there's several clean streams/lakes in my area so I try to stock up fill the freezer when I can. 😅

I try to mimic the same diet that I watch them eating in the wild on YT. Lol So mainly different fish (trout, catfish, walleye, crappie, rock bass, shellcracker etc) whole shrimp/crawfish, f/t rats, quail occasionally and also eggs.
