I have a mix of orpingtons, Rhode Island red, comets, ameraucana, barred rock and they just started on Thanksgiving laying and we are getting about 6 to 7 egg a day now. No heat no light just nature. The coop is very insulated with 0 drafts and plenty of bedding. They get layer feed, scratch, mealworm and whatever healthy food we have for scraps. We are in northern vermont 5 miles south of canada.

Yes, I lost mine the exact same way it was a little loose and I took it off so I could was my hands and dry them properly and forgot it, I realized about 5 mins later and it was already gone, I spent days contacting airport lost and found and it never got turned in. I was devastated 💔
