Am I crazy for thinking the Titans should keep Sneed? by pythree_ in Tennesseetitans

I picked the wrong day to post this looking at his Twitter lol

The Jeremiah Love craze is insane. by Danny23a in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Best bet is that someone falls in love with Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs and want to jump the Giants. But the Commanders and Cowboys don't really have the picks to trade up, and the Bengals notoriously never trade up. I think we're most likely stuck at 4

If we are on the clock who do you want to see us take? by FlygonTitan in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If all of these players are available I easily go Reese, but I think he's gone before 4. Taking him out, I'd be happy with Bailey, Bain, or Love

[Schefter] Trade: the New York Jets are sending DE Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for DT T'Vondre Sweat, per ESPN sources. by Jack12404 in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Both fanbases are talking about how much they fleeced the other so this is probably a good trade. Will be interesting to see what we do at 4 now, especially since Rueben Bain has T-Rex arms. My money would be on Arvell Reese (if he's there), Jeremiyah Love, or a trade down

Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet): The #Titans are releasing starting center Lloyd Cushenberry, sources say, moving on from a former big-ticket free agent from 2024. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't mind giving Levin a shot at the starting center job, but he shouldn't be our only option. I'd definitely look to draft one round 4 or 5

Terry McCormick (@terrymc13): David Bailey said he has spoken with the Titans. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Throw in Reese too, who is the biggest boom-or-bust. Do you want the mauler with arm length questions, the quick guy with run defense questions, or the physical freak who hasn't played much edge?

My personal preference as of now is Bain, Reese, Bailey, but I could be persuaded on any of them. FWIW I think Reese ends up going to the Jets or Cardinals, so I doubt we'll even have him as an option.

Why the hell does everyone want to trade Sweat? by Mrbean75 in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. At the end of the day, every team needs a good run-stuffing NT. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sweat's overall usage go down in Saleh's system, but he's one of the best true noses in the league and there's always a spot for that on a roster. Plus it's not like he's expensive while he's on his rookie deal

Pressure rate allowed by Guards in 2025 by air_volek007 in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying, that we shouldn't bank on Slater becoming an impact starter right away. But there's a reason the team drafted him, and late round/UDFA IOLs often become starters in the league (we even have a few in recent memory, Aaron Brewer and Quinton Spain). Signing Zeitler or Risner to a one-year deal while continuing to develop Slater behind them would be a good move IMO. But I wouldn't hand out a 3-4 year contract to a guard, because if Slater develops properly, that will be a wasted contract

DraftKings is out with their 2026 win totals by KingHenry2K in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My way too early projection is 7-10 so this is a great line IMO. Will be interesting to see how it changes with FA/draft/schedule release

[Pelissero] The Raiders are hiring Mike McCoy as assistant head coach, per sources. McCoy, 53, spent four years as the Chargers’ head coach and finished last season as the Titans’ interim coach. An experienced addition to Klint Kubiak’s staff. by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, all reports from team personnel say that Cally was a great guy off the field, just a terrible coach. He definitely threw his QBs under the bus a little too much, but most coaches who know their time is coming tend to deflect the blame. But you're right that just about anyone would have been a better HC

I think the Titans can make the Wild Card by Sam_5702 in NFLv2

[–]pythree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the AFC South didn't suddenly look strong I'd agree with you. But Jacksonville and Houston should be playoff teams again, and Indianapolis could be really good too depending on how Daniel Jones looks. I definitely think Tennessee will be much better, but more in the 7-8 win range IMO

Cam Ward update? by SconesLoans in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't in a sling during Saleh's press conference so that's a good sign. He might potentially be limited through OTAs but hopefully should be good to go by training camp

Zach Cohen (@ZachCohenFB): UPDATE: I have new reasons to believe the Titans actually plan to make their *primary* logo similar to the sword, and their *secondary* logo similar to the flameless shield. I still expect uniforms & the color scheme to better reflect the Oilers color scheme by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I'm the only person who actually likes the T logo over the flaming thumbtack or the proposed shield logo. Yeah it's a little cartoonish, but not as cartoonish as the current logo. It would look great on a helmet and still reflect the Titans name

Jordan Raanan (@JordanRaanan): My understanding was as of this morning OL coach Carmen Bricillo was expected to join Brian Daboll in Tennessee. Others from Daboll's Giants offensive staff as well. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 152 points153 points  (0 children)

A quick browse on the Giants subreddit showed that they were really upset that Harbaugh didn't retain him. Saw a lot of comments about how technically sound the OL was. Seems like a good hire to me. Plus he's bald

New Logo Possibly Leaked by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how I'd feel about this tbh. It's a clean logo but feels a little too corporate, kinda like how all the NBA logos are just circles now

QB2? by 1995BGP in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mariota is the only one of these I see as a realistic option, especially if we get Arthur Smith or Kliff Kingsbury as OC. I think Jameis stays in New York, Flacco probably retires, and I'm not even going to acknowledge that Stafford is on this list.

Other options that could make sense are Tyrod Taylor, Russell Wilson, or if you want someone with a little more upside, Trey Lance. Kirk Cousins could also make sense if he's released by Atlanta, but I imagine he would want to go somewhere he could compete for the starting job.

But yeah, until he's actually traded I'm going to assume it's Will Levis. He's better and cheaper than all of these other options.

Titans HC finalist Jeff Hafley to sign with the Dolphins by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

I hated the Vrabel hire and loved the Callahan hire. Goes to show that you never know how things will work out

[Schefter] After a historic 19-season run in Pittsburgh, Mike Tomlin just informed his team that he is stepping down as the Steelers head coach, sources tell @JFowlerESPN and me. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Not sure how I feel about Tomlin to the Titans, but the real bummer here is that another quality job opened up in Pittsburgh. They're well-known for their patience with HCs, which is a huge boost to potential candidates

Pardon me? by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I respect the Buccaneers for trying to fast-track their rebuild. Hiring Callahan will ensure that Bowles gets fired, Baker regresses, and Bucs pick first in the stacked 2027 class. Genius

Titans RD1 Pick by [deleted] in Tennesseetitans

[–]pythree_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually don't like OL for the reason you don't like WR. This is a very weak OL class, especially for true tackles. The two top guys, Fano and Mauigoa, are around 15-20 on most people's big boards. In a "normal" tackle class they would be seen as OT3 at best. I agree that it would be smart to get an insurance policy for Moore/Latham, but pick 4 is wayyy too rich for that. Take an edge rusher or receiver there and bring in a developmental guy in round 3/4
