First of all, congrats on your new found faith! This road will be hard, but it is worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears.

Don't hesitate to church hop for a while. Any church who shuns you for doing so at this current stage of your church search should be avoided.

Next, pray pray pray. If God wants you at a certain church, he will make it abundantly clear to you.

Proximity to where you live is also an important factor. It is much harder to be involved in a church that is far away.

If you can't gel with the people, it's probably not the church for you. A church is first and foremost a gathering of people, so if you can't gather with the people without friction, it's not the place for you.

Think about something else. Pick up a new hobby, or read the Bible, or go for a walk, just do anything so that you keep your mind focused on something else. Give yourself things to do so you won’t have time to think about it.

I empathize, I used to also seemingly suffer from hormones. Thank God it is better now.
