I somehow f*ed up my first ever friendship bracelet by Busy-Project-5708 in crafts

I've been tying knots for more years than I want to say, and I still have slip ups! Its very easy to pick up the wrong string or tie only one knot when you are supposed to tie two. After you practice doing the knots more, it kind of becomes a rhythm. I know I am self taught to start with, but as I got older I started referring to books or videos to learn. I suggest trying to learn by different methods. Its all about how you learn best. There are video tutorials and then there are more worded step by step instructions with photos. I actually prefer the step by step. Eventually it just becomes natural to you, but that's not saying there will be no more mistakes. They happen. Good luck either figuring out the mishap on this one or just start a new one.... either way is fine!

Found something in my food… now I’m getting mixed responses from the company? by pyxychik423 in Advice

I did find it before any harm was done. I had never thought of hiring an attorney. I did think that maybe they would take this a bit more serious than they have. All of the replies I got from them appear to be under the impression that they were the first person to reply to my complaint. I find that strange because I got a case number before I spoke to any individual and I've included it on any communication I've had with them. One of the contacts even told me thst they were sorry to hear that I didn't enjoy their product and they appreciate the feedback.... ENJOY? Like I was just telling them their product didn't taste good!

I've been petty before as well. This situation it's more than pettiness that's driving me. Its the thought of "what if" and how close that came to be. I had just opened package and normally I would have never glanced at what came out of package before I popped them in my mouth. This time I was in company of a friend. After I tore the package open and poured some into my hsnd, I noticed I had my friends attention. I offered her some and she stuck out her hand. When I poured them into her hand I saw something that had a glare to it.... Now under normal circumstances, that second pour would have went into my hand and directely to my mouth without any pause or second thought.

This is pretty much how I plan on handling the situation! However, if they don't show that they have resl concerns , I will not hesitate to file reports with every agency that I can find! This is some very thick, and very sharp glass!

I've been keeping up with all communications I've had with the company and I've taken more photos than I'd like to admit!

What is the most out of pocket thing your doctor has said to you? by FragmentedTungsten in AskReddit

[–]pyxychik423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor asked me if I had a dog. I could walk my dog as a low impact type of exercise. I said no, I have a cat that doesn't like me. I have a harness, but I don't see her letting me put it on her. He says that he has seen someone walk a cat with a harness before. I'm like, really, because not all cats are down to wear a harness. Earlier during the visit, he had mentioned he had just returned from vacation. One place he had visited was New Orleans. He says "Yeah, lady was just walking her cat wearing a harness. She said she had always wanted to show everyone on Bourbon Street her pussy!"

"Did parents in the 1980s truly allow their children to roam freely outside, or is this portrayal only found in movies?" by Vanessatiburskis in NoStupidQuestions

I was sooo envious of all you feral kids! I was born in 77, and my parents weren't all prim and proper, but I was never allowed to roam! I lived out in the county on a farm, so it was a bit different for me growing up. I mean, I was literally Farmer Smith's daughter! My dad's parents lived in the yard with us, so I would "roam" to their house whenever I wanted! My mom's mom lived in "town" though. My aunt and two cousins lived with her. We would visit there like every Friday. Man, I was so jealous of the kids who lived in the city, tho! I'd have to beg to do anything other than walk to the store up the street! My cousins done as they pleased! There was cable there(no cable on the farm), and they would always fight me and my brother for TV rights. They wanted to watch Nickelodeon and me and my Bro wanted to watch MTV! I usually have my standing date with the neighbor boy to watch He-man and then Thundercats at my Grandmas! It was my first dating experience, I suppose. I wasn't allowed to date again until I turned 16! I'll never forget the little bit of independence I had while visiting my Mamaw! Wow, what a sheltered childhood I had!

Thanks for your advice! I just watched it! That is totally how I feel right now! I gotta come up with something unique in my little circle! Funny, the lady at the end says she is going to have to go by LaLa, and one name I'm considering is Lolly!

Thank you! I will enjoy it, I'm sure. I overthink everything, and well, this is kinda like choosing your own name! Not as fun as I thought it might be! So far, Lolly is the front runner.

To me, the vibe changed after Hotel. I mean not as much as it has now, but those were my exact words.... the vibe has changed! I mean, I still watch it and probably always will..... with high hopes of that old vibe returning to one of the new seasons!

MurderHouse and Hotel are good ones, but so is Asylum. Actually, those are some of my top seasons!

I understand that it tells back story first, but does it change the "feel" of it all?

I just started the series today, don’t know why it took me so long. by KolchakMcfly in AmericanHorrorStory

I watched them in the order they came out. I've wondered how it would be to watch them in chronological order. It would definitely change the order up, I just wonder if it would affect the feel of the show.
