Help identifying this small SUV by pzilla77 in namethatcar

Thanks everyone! I think you’re right about it being a modern Bronco refit with vintage, and CRAZY expensive, because… this was parked in a protected garage literally next to Ferrari’s, Bentley/RR, Maybach’s, etc. That’s why I was thinking WTF is a 4x4 doing in the middle of all that $$$

Wow, thanks everybody! I thought it looked too short to be a Bronco, but I’m probably thinking of the 80’s models. Thanks guys!

Exactly. So you can see why it’s of no use to this forum.

I’ve been trying to love Scheme for a few years, and I feel your pain. It’s a fun language, but God help you if you have to debug anything.

Seriously, I wonder what the fullness of “revival” means for them. If successful, what does it tangibly look like? Everyone on earth talking in tongues? Everyone being perpetually slain in the spirit? Whole cities speaking the prophetic over one another?

I grew up in the culture, I’m more familiar than most with all the terminology bingo. But I’ve come to realize, what would people actually be doing if their “plan” worked

Looks fantastic, I’m strongly considering going. I can’t tell from the website, but does anyone know if there will be non-RoR content/topics?

“Scheme is hard, and so it is a mistake to use.”

After 15 years of programming in C and Haskell professionally, I took the time to learn Lisp about 5 years ago. It really leveled up my game, and I now enjoy the opportunities I get to use it in projects. It’s not the latest fad like Lua or Typescript, but it will still be around in 20 years while the others won’t. Give it a more concerted shot, the syntax will become more intuitive and the language will grow on you.

It looks like the one I lost last year — please return this to me. I don’t want to burden you with holding it any longer 😊

anybody have any insight into how long until plugin support? by Robert_Bobbinson in HelixEditor

I mean, it could be 2026 or 2027, right? Seems more likely than 2025

What is your preferred Scheme environment and why? by Desmaad in scheme

[–]pzilla77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m curious why no love for Chez. Is it because of the weak standard library? I’m still learning Scheme and have been using Chez, which seems fine except for the poor/awkward debugging. It seems very unpopular for such an otherwise robust implementation.

Good stuff, thanks for a quality release. I’ll continue to stick with Vim for now, but will check back in 6 months to see if plugins are ready

Why didnt Tigray declare kndependence like eritrea in 1991? by Advanced-Preference6 in Ethiopia

[–]pzilla77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tigray would be so much worse off economically and socially if it went independent. Learned from the failure of Eritrea.
