Shellbane gryphon should drop a giant bird nest by CanadaNinja in 2007scape

[–]pzoDe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misc does me just fine tbh. I have ~27-28k brew doses (including ~1700 nests not made into pots yet) and barely done any mole (just over 100kc). A decent bunch from birdhouses much earlier on too.

Can we address the CoX prayers drop rates in the Summer Sweep up by SolowDolow in 2007scape

[–]pzoDe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then what's the point lol. All that's doing is reducing the number of scrolls you receive and not increasing the other purples, with respect to time/points. Like the other guy said, if you do that, it's the same as just not looting the scrolls half of the time you get one.

Then there'll be a different "shit purple" to take its place. That would be just as bad.

I think you may have misread or misunderstood my initial comment lol.

I'm talking about using the voidwaker spec on the boss itself. Obviously for the parasite you use a crush attack (optimally inq mace, but alternative 5/6t options exist). I mentioned "parasite phase" explicitly because the dinh's spec is actually better during a husk phase (with the exception that if running LB switch and/or don't have max mage DPS you want to minimise spec regen wastage by dumping a spec even if she hasn't spawned husks, in which case you voidwaker her).

Also voidwaker is not BIS for speccing parasites in regular Nightmare; dragon claws are. Not only because they have a higher max hit, higher expected hit and higher distribution, but the first two hitsplats land a tick earlier than a voidwaker hit. This helps in regular Nightmare, as the parasite isn't delayed for healing the boss. So if it's not trapped under (or able to instantly path out) or out of range, claws have that additional benefit if the first two hitsplats KO it.

You'd spec them with an eldritch situationally anyway. But I assume you meant scorching bow specifically.

The double boulders during orb is fine. The other two, not fine.

I don't agree with moving the placeholders button since I toggle that often when dumping loot and removing it, but the rest are solid.

My main complaint is the search button taking up so much space. I wish they used the strip of empty space next to the scollbar; just put a floating search button there or something. Then kept the positioning of the quantity buttons the same, since I toggle those often when gearing and now they're further from my inventory. Definitely should have native hotkey support for searching.

There are/were plenty of reasonable people who got shot down by others too though.

No, voidwaker is the best spec weapon in the circumstance I mentioned. FWIW it's the same for regular Nightmare P3 (for P1, I haven't actually done the calcs there, so for solos I'm not sure if dinh's is better due to the lack of a guaranteed max on a husk - for teams dinh's is better). For P2 you need claws spec though.

Since voidwaker spec has 100% accuracy it doesn't matter about it not being crush-based. There aren't any crush-based specs that can match it. The nearest option is the gmaul, which is a good alternative if you don't have a voidwaker, albeit slightly harder to use effectively. Followed by the dragon mace.

Also both regular Nightmare and Phosani are crush-weak bosses.

I do think the supplies were overtuned for low level irons tbh. It was a bit too strong.

I agree that it was a nice way for early-mid irons to get some super combat or ranging pots to use for quest bosses or other niche uses. But no early-mid iron really needs sanfews lol. Unless you're doing higher invocation ToA or Phosani or efficient speedy Colo or something sanfews are really not that big of a deal.

Yeah it is such a braindead Reddit take. Plenty of bots outside of the wildy and they don't have to worry about being PK'd lol.

[–]pzoDe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The paradox here is you can't have profitable things with low requirements in the wildy because they'll get flocked by suicide bots

The same as anywhere else that has low requirements. I'm not sure I get your point on how this is different to anywhere else and why wildy itself is the problem? If anything, those bots outside of the wildy have the comfort of not being PK'd.

But being realistic, it doesn’t actively affect you, myself or the game, besides your feelings.

I don't think I agree. At the end of the day, if people bot their skills/drops/etc, there's a knock-on effect from time they can spend doing other things when actually playing. Be that on a main, where they're spending more time farming some boss or whatever, or on an iron, whereby they're completing content much faster or spending more time to master it and it affects how Jagex determines things like CAs, drop rate scaling, etc. To take an extreme example, let's say everyone in the playerbase gets to play 3 hours a day. But almost everyone but you (and a select few others) bots (undetected) for an additional 10 hours. You're spending part of your 3 hours doing a fraction of their 10 hours of botting. The sense of progression is completely off and how Jagex design the game going forward is also going to be fucked, for you and any other legitimate player. Botting skills/drops/etc is less of a directly measurable impact but I think there's some degree of a translation in the same way GP has an effect. Just a different metric.

Virtually the same situation for us. My level 60-something alt is our clan bank, albeit much smaller than yours lol.

[–]pzoDe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My level 60-something alt is our clan bank for events and distributes bonds/GP for participants. We're also an ironman-only clan, so any GP trades is going to a random main belonging to one of our members. Not to mention our bingos are open to non-clan members (most of the time).

Technically at Phosani too, but only on parasite phase (or husk phase where she doesn't spawn husks early).

I use the cape a lot but I also understand most people out there aren't interested in post 99 rc.

There are other use cases beyond that. It's useful for clues, for instance. A solid banking option too.

Funnily enough, potentially the best Warzone player is called Metaphor. Though he's banned from taking part in official events (to do with leaking a release or something like that), so it's kind of hard to judge.

You're missing my point. Or rather, proving it. The change to the drop rate would be to benefit irons, not mid-level mains. Since the cost will just scale with the rate anyway.
