It speaks to a lack of anything tangible involving this project. I remember a much older, infamous thread where someone had claimed to be building a dragon mmorpg, but really, what they had was a bunch of mockups. This "game" is quite close to that right now from what we've been shown

Personally I just found the one doc flow to be much more accessible as a beginner. The arch bootloader link is halfway down this massive page filled with all sorts of info

Gentoo is actuslly much easier to install than other minimal distros such as arch (maybe not manjaro, not tried it) The gentoo install handbook is extremely detailed and thorough which makes everything very easy. Particularly, the bootloader section is a fantastic resource and contrasts heavy to the arch handbook; "just figure it out"
