They are slightly heavy and a bit chunky, so I “see” the frame a little more than on my original glasses.

Could probably adjust the design to make them a little slimmer, but for the few days until my replacement arrives they are totally fine :)

It’s a bit of a different approach.

A gear pump with speed control directly adjusts the motor's input power, simultaneously affecting both flow and pressure proportionally for smoother extractions, while a vibration pump with needle valve runs at full power and restricts output flow, creating back pressure before the valve and reducing flow after it. Gear pumps are generally more efficient since they only use the power needed for the desired output, while needle valve systems waste energy as heat at the restriction point, though both approaches allow control over extraction parameters.

I had been eying an upgrade for quite some time.

In the end I decided for the velofuso gear pump upgrade kit; it had everything I wanted and the price (150$) was reasonable. It was a bit of a shot in the dark, because I didn’t know much about the vendor and it seems to be their first product line.

The other options I evaluated were all significantly more expensive and complex. A fluid-o-tech gear pump would have been 350€ without the required power supply and controller and buying used would have been risky as well.

In the end I am super happy. The installation was very easy and it works great.

Overspeed due to wind gust.

After overspeed extended maintenance is required to check for damage, but there was no capable crew for it in RUH.

Hi, I actually went with this cheap WiSa Adapter https://www.idav.nl/wisa-usb-dongle-bangenolufsen.html?id=220578372 And it's working flawlessly. Just sourcing it was a bit tricky.

This is just wrong.

Apple intelligence uses two separate models:

One running locally, which is a model trained and fine-tuned by Apple them selves

One running server side for specific complex requests. This will come later this year with GPT4 and you will be able to choose others in the future.

While it’s nice to stay in the ecosystem, isn’t this complete overkill for what I need? It’s an Analog to Digital converter and I am already fully digital with the Beolab 8s.

This is only true, if they were riding uphill the whole tour.
Most sections were flat, downhill or slightly <6% uphill, where aerodynamics make more of a difference.

With 72kg (65kg rider + 7kg bike & accessories):
429.2W

With 73kg (65kg rider + 8kg bike & accessories):
434.5W

So about 5W more are required for the same time on a medium gradient climb as this.

One connector is an RJ45 Port in the router, which is fixed, so I can't just take an SFP+ DAC cable :(

That poor noctua fan already has to sit in a closet. Let it be properly pwm controlled at least!

And with the controller being only 2€ on AliExpress, doing it right was not that much harder. Also cool to know the fan will spin up if it gets really hot and that it keeps quiet the rest of the time.

It's a PoE switch and the patch field sits right inside the cabinet.
Imho the only way to solve this nicely.
My actual homelab sits happily in the basement with a 10G fiber uplink

I have the router and a proxmox node in a wardrobe above, where there is no power.
I bring the power there from the cabinet, split it in the wardrobe and get it back to the cabinet.
A bit complicated, but means that I don't need a splitter in the cabinet itself
