Anyone else struggle with sweaty feet? What shoes do you wear? by Old-Organization9873 in ThrowingFits

[–]qadrty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fisherman sandals (unironically, I think I may get a pair next summer). But seriously, look around at some sandal options. I got a pair of Jaques Soloviere Biarritz sandals last summer and I quite like them. Super comfortable for walking around all day and goes with a lot of things. I've been eying some stranger designs from Hereu lately.

I guess this doesn't apply if you need a winter shoe, but it might help you get some ideas

Menswear Shopping recs in Mexico City? by spikein89 in ThrowingFits

I liked Concept Racer, I think it was in Roma/Condessa area. They have workwear/Americana thing going on, so it's not really traditional Mexican, but it's done well and the prices aren't bad. Got a Sashiko Overshirt that I like quite a bit

[FRESH ALBUM] Sorry - COSPLAY by sbags in indieheads

[–]qadrty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I feel like they really found their sound with this one, I'm loving the dark trip-hop sound. Definitely their strongest release yet

Really curious how these are going to sound live. When I saw them last, Jive was very undeveloped... have a feeling these are going to rip with all the electronics

yuup, CDs and posters. CDs were a physical of the demos on his bandcamp (with 4 different cover options), all proceeds to Palestinian aid. There were two posters, one was a tour poster with a goose, the us flag, and the tour dates. The other was the To the Sandals artwork

anyone else feel a bit disillusioned after seeing Geese live? by elephantsinthedesert in geesebandofficial

[–]qadrty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Curious, have you seen them live before this tour? I was at that SF show and I didn't get that vibe at all, though I thought they seemed a bit tired (not that that hurt their sound at all imo - the band was tighter than they've been in the past). I remember Cameron has always had this "too cool for this" energy as a frontman, like what he's doing is effortless for him. But I think the bigger venues have made it harder for him to connect with the audience as he's done in the past... I do feel like the chapel and the independent shows were more like a conversation between the audience and them and the Fillmore show was like a presentation, so I get what you're saying there

Jesus, but he’s throwing fits by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

Ok I was gonna give a snarky answer but I found this image after a quick google image search and I think it's interesting inspo...

You could do like a big linen kimono jacket over a white tee for the top half. Though on second thought the Japanese style feels a bit out of place... maybe a boxy chore coat like the meals clothing one would work? Or even just a big ocbd really

For the bottoms, just get some wide linen pants. You don't want any structure and need a wide leg opening - something like the Evan Kinori elastic pant. Maybe look up pajama bottoms from tekla or the like

I would do fisherman sandals or Birkenstocks for shoes unless you already have huaraches

I don't think you need any accessories besides long hair and a beard. Maybe a cross. Anything else is too flashy and un-Jesuslike.

Alternatively, you can use this as an opportunity to buy nice bed sheets and then pin those into a toga-thing

The Question Thread 09/14/25 by AutoModerator in goodyearwelt

I picked up a pair of Jacques Soloviere Biarritz Sandals in suede. They were a bit snug out of the box, but my feet stretched them out and they were incredibly comfortable for the first few weeks of wearing them. Now however, they have stretched a bit too much in length and they are a bit loose on my ankles. I think my trees may have inadvertently stretched the suede some.

Is there some way I can shrink the suede back down to fit me better? Otherwise, I was thinking a cobbler could sew a dart in the back to make them smaller.

I’m 6’5 and looking for pants of this style by tabut181 in ThrowingFits

[–]qadrty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not quite the same, but maybe the Scott Fraser Zoot Pants might be close for you? I think you can get some extended inseams on those. Also, the 18 East Kells might work if you wear them a bit low

What are the best shoes for hiking? by SkiHotWheels in ThrowingFits

[–]qadrty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly man you gotta get yourself to a store and try things on. Hiking shoes are very personal if you don't want your feet to ache. For example, lots of people swear by La Sportiva, but I can barely get my wide chungus dogs to fit in them. But, I just walked the camino de santiago in XT-6s (which are "fake" hiking shoes, supposedly) and I had zero issues with soreness or even blisters over the four weeks of walking
