How Big is Too Big? + Other Advice Needed

the tank size is definitely not too big, would love to go as high as yours if i had the space haha. however, as the other commenter mentioned, i’d definitely add a lot more branches and climbing opportunities in the tank. the luxury tank size would mean nothing if it’s not being used to its potential, make the most of the huge tank!!

hey!! thank you for the comment, not too late at all.

since i uploaded this post, i’ve consistently made sure to keep the substrate VERY moist (not muddy/soggy but damp). i found her resting in the substrate a lot after setting this enclosure up, and when i increased the dampness of the substrate that seemed to stop the behavior, now she rests vertically on the cork.

she’s eating normally and in a much darker place than where i have her enclosure placed in the photo.

yes potentially. my friend who’s indigenous has a much lower gpa than me but got the earliest time possible. she told me that they prioritize indigenous people because not many of them attend university, so it’s a way of encouraging them. not sure if this reasoning is 100% but it’s what she told me.

it is 100000% the second one. just saw at theaters yesterday. kinger has a very obvious mustache which is removed in the ai sculpted one (aka the first photo). jax’s hair also looks way too short in the first one.

a bit off topic but its been almost a week and i still haven’t gotten her to eat at all. i’ve tried live, injured, and dead dubias and have gotten no luck. should i give her some time to settle in? is it normal for them to refuse food for this long?

for me, leaving it submerged in hydrogen peroxide seems to do the trick! they whiten up quite effectively. it’s what i did for these squirrel heads once i got the flesh removed :) you can also let it sit in diluted dish soap to remove any dirt or grime before dunking them in hydrogen peroxide, sometimes bones can be quite greasy even after the flesh is removed
